Uluru makes the long journey worth it, especially on a clear day - Pickup was straighforward, the 5hr journey to Uluru included two toilet stops. There were a few cafes and shops in Yulara for the 1hr lunch and souvenirs stop. The walks and stories told around the base of Uluru were interesting, and there was a fair selection to eat and drink for the sunset BBQ dinner. It is a long way to travel from Alice Springs, but I felt the 6hrs spent around Uluru were worth it in my opinion.

A long day but worth it - You will be out for at least 18 hours, so try and avoid having anything planned with an early start the next day. Journey to is ok, coming back it's dark, so take something to read, listen to or try and nap (roads are not to bumpy). You are in the hands of the weather, we were unfortunate as cloud prevented a spectacular sunset. Gary our Ayers rock guide, was extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions you could think off. You get close enough to the rock to appreciate it's texture and it's significance to the Aboriginal people.

Superb day out - A long day but it flew by, thanks to a couple of stops on the way to Uluru and the entertaining commentary from driver, Gary. Uluru itself was unsurprisingly stunning, with the sunset BBQ a wonderful end to a lovely day. You might want to pack a fly net, but those blighters apart, it was a truly memorable experience.

Great experience and highly recommended - I booked this tour in April 25 for our trip in November 25. Booking online was easy and the communication from Viator and the tour guides was as described. We had two tour guides for this tour due to the length of it, with one driving our coach to and from Uluṟu, and one completing the tour on foot. Both tour guides were well experienced and provided a wealth of information and knowledge throughout the entire tour. Our coach was very comfortable, and the BBQ was put together well with more than enough food for everyone. The art gallery at Uluṟu had some beautifully made pieces from local artists so dont miss out on having a look in there! Also highly recommend bringing a fly net with you to protect your face from the flies (we didn’t and thought it was a bit silly until we actually got to Uluṟu…). We didn’t feel rushed by our tour guides either which was really nice. We would definitely do this tour again, and will be recommending it to our friends! Of note; did this tour with a teenager in tow and they loved it too!

Uluru day trip - Seeing Uluru was a truly beautiful experience. Gary was a wonderful driver and gave us insightful and interesting information on the drive from Alice to Uluru. The drive is long as other reviews have said. While Gary makes the drive the best it can be and Yad is knowledgeable about the history and significance of Uluru this would really be best to stay a night in Uluru and take in all that it is. If you are short on time in the Northern Territory then this tour is perfect. Barbecue dinner before watching the sunset was really nice and food is good.

A trip worthwhile - It is definitely worth making this trip if you don't have much time. The ride was very long but our tour guide gave a lot of information and the barbecue was also good!

Excellent Guides - Was really made by the knowledgeable and informed tour guides/drivers Was transported directly from hotel to Uluru via a couple of “tech” stops though on 2 toilet stops were rather awful and I mean terrible The BBQ for me was terrible food The sausage didn’t look like it had met a protein food source and no buns for them anyway just slices of processed bread It’s a shame really because the guides were brilliant but 1 star deduction for what could have been fixed by a few tweaks. Oh, take a fly hood you’ll see what I mean🪰
