Amazing food, history and music! - Amazing time spent with Eon and Jessica! The tour was amazing, we got to learn so much about Guyanese history especially as it relates to Indian heritage and food. We stopped at the market, the botanical garden and Tony’s Puri shop for the best dhal puri ever! Eon and Jessica were very knowledgeable and easy to connect with. The food we made was amazing and the music was great too. We’ve only been back from our trip for two days and have already started remaking some of the curries we had on the tour. Overall we would recommend anyone take this tour to experience some of Guyanas culture through food and amazing storytelling.

This is not a 5 star restaurant - it is an Experience! Wonderful! - I only had a vague idea if what to expect from this tour and was so pleasantly surprised at what a fabulous day it turned out to be. Eon and Jessica were wonderful hosts, full of knowledge and very friendly. We picked the fresh vegetables from the market, cut the ‘plates’ from the reeds in the Botanical Gardens before heading for some Dhal puri! The Indian Monument Garden was another stop and drove hone the early beginnings of Guyana. Then we cut the vegetables and Eon is an amazing chef and host. I was honoured to help stir one of the pots so ‘helped’ cook the meal! LOL We then had the 7 currys on the leaves and it was so worth the wait. Then the songs! I loved them and it out a cap on a really good day. Dont miss thus tour!

A wonderful day - We have had the most fabulous day with singing chef adventures. Jess and Eon couldn't do enough for our family. So much valuable information and history of beautiful Guyana. From visting the market, drinking coconut water and the amazing juice and Dhal Puri at Tony's to picking our own leaves and cooking the curry together as a group! It really was worth every penny. Thank you so much!

Absolutely wonderful - It's been an absolute amazing experience. We learned about Guyana's history, did a bit of sightseeing and went shopping at the market to get all the fresh ingredients. It felt like we're visiting friends and family, crooked together and had some good laughs. We've been very lucky because it was just us and no other guests for that particular day. But even with more guests I am sure the experience is an absolute amazing experience and you shouldn't miss it while visiting beautiful Guyana.

Amazing experience - One of the best things we did in Guyana. Eon and Jessica were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable. We learned about Guyanese history and culture and the food Eon helped us prepare was the best meal we had during our visit. Topped off with some amazing singing. Highly recommend!

Authentic taste of Georgetown culture! - We went on this tour with Jessica and Eon and we are so glad we did. It was our first time in Guyana and their information and local knowledge was invaluable! We learned so much about Georgetown’s history and culture and Eon and Jessica were thoughtful, kind, professional and caring all the way through. The food was phenomenal! They took us to Tony’s Puri Shop and the filled Puri was sooo delicious, unlike any other we’ve had before. We went to the market to get the ingredients needed for the famous 7-curry and went back to Eon and Jessica’s beautiful house where they have a shack in the garden and Eon cooked, while also guiding us with helping and teaching us the process. The outcome was a beautiful curry with rice and other curry and veg dishes, all served on lotus leaves we picked earlier and with a Puri of course! And then Eon sang some of his fantastic songs to us while we ate. In short this is an authentic dive into Georgetown’s culture, hosted by two beautiful souls that live there! Would wholeheartedly recommend! Thank you both so much, big love, Joel & Emilio.
