Good moooooorning roti bakar - Lee-Ann was the perfect "mother hen" in the hustle of George Town, ushering us safely across the busy streets to her various secret food stalls and shops. She was a font of information about the various offerings and kept the dishes coming - so be sure to have a light or even no breakfast. Speaking of breakfast: our accommodation didn't include it and we were at a loss where to go and what to eat until Lee-Ann introduced us to roti bakar with soft boiled egg and a cup of muddy kopi. Hooked! Can 10/10 recommend this tour.

Thumbs up, would recommend. - The guide, Lian, was so incredibly knowledgeable on the history of the food and the places we visited. The tour itself allows you to try everything. So no need to be overwhelmed by the choices in Georgetown!

Great tour and full tummy. - Lee Ann is a wonderful and considerate tour guide. She made sure we saw all the designated stalls / restaurants while assuring we were well hydrated and comfortable. The AM and PM tours cover different parts of town so I guess you could do both - probably not on the same day though or you’d be rather stuffed. Excellent food choices and introduction to all Penang has to offer. Also had taken A Chef’s Toir in Bangkok and similarly excellent there.

Incredible Food Tour with Amazing Local Guide (Lee-Ann) - Don't hesitate to book this tour! Unfortunately I wasn't able to leave a review on Getyourguide (which is where I booked this). I've done a lot of food tours...but now I finally know what a 5-star food tour looks / feels like after this. I ended up being the only guest on this tour - it felt like I was walking around Georgetown with a long time friend. Lee-Ann is an EXCELLENT guide - she will tell you all about the history and culture of each dish. It was such a 'nourishing' experience for the body (my stomach) and mind not only because the food was delicious but also because I had such engaging / substantive / fun conversations with Lee-Ann. She is so passionate about her job (food, the culture, her hometown) and that was really evident during the tour. I learned so much and really really enjoyed this!! Now I'm wary of booking other food tours after this experience. I'm so glad she was available! Don't hesitate to book!!

Amazing food Penang! - Amazing food tour, got decent food portions not just small tasters. Jenny my tour guide was informative about the different meals and how they were cooked. She also gave us some background information on the owners/chefs. Overall a great experience. Good value too!

A Taste of Penang! - We loved this morning food tour of Penang. I don’t think we would have come close to experiencing the exquisite local dishes if we tried to do this on our own. Ash was a great guide who led the walking tour through the streets of Georgetown.
