Well worth a visit - Unless you are a resident of the hotel this is the only way to see inside this beautiful building. Places are limited and we had booked our place before travelling to Malaysia. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the mansion and the family that built and developed the property. It also provided an interesting oversight of regional trade of the period. Entry tickets are not expensive so well worth the visit.

Blue Mansion - The tour was very interesting and we learned a lot about the history of the historic house and the family behind it. We had a drink n the bar afterwards, which has a classic setting. The bartender, Ali, was amazing. A great experience all around.

Difficult to hear/understand - The guide had such a strong accent she was difficult to understand. My husband is hard of hearing and he couldn’t hear/understand anything. The tour is not of the mansion it is only of the hall and courtyard. We walked round while guide told stories about ‘big boss’ and read off posters on the wall. The information about the life of the guy who lived there and of the mansion itself very limited. More about the restoration.

Useless and disappointing visit - It’s definitely not worth visiting this house ... especially if you don’t speak fluent English! The lady speaks too fast and we see nothing of the house that is transformed into a luxury hotel ... we stay in the entrance 10 minutes then 15 minutes behind the entrance. We then go to 40 people in 2 small cramped rooms... to end up in the souvenir shop! The discourse on history can be found on the internet ... Absolutely disappointed

It was a disgeace - They do not care about the visitors who queued up under the hot sun. One person gatekeeper + ticket seller. Too busy to answer questions. 20 persons max at a time for each hour. Online ticket holders need to queue as well. It was a disgrace.
