During this tour, we unveil Penang and Malaysia’s history and finally end our food trail at a bar with a locally inspired cocktail or mocktail.

Excellent Experience - Excellent tour with our amazing guide, Ronald! We sampled many delicious dishes that represent the diverse culture within Penang, and learned some interesting history along the way. We left feeling full but not overly stuffed, and felt the tour was the perfect blend of food and culture.

Simply amazing!! Wow! - Could not recommend this tour more! As a foodie this tour was fantastic, we had such a range of food and they were also able to fully cater to our dietary requirements. The entire evening was very memorable and incredibly tasty. I try to do a food tour in every country I visit and this was easily in my top 2 food tours. The 4 hours seems like a long time but it is in fact perfect, we never felt rush and we had so much fun we didn’t even realise the time was going. I recommend it to everyone who wants to try the flavours of Penang! Also make sure to come with an empty belly and also pace yourself, you’ll want to try everything so try not to go too fast

Just go for it and make your reservation! - Absolutely the best food experience!
We had a tour with Wei Shein, who paced the entire excursion perfectly. We enjoyed a wonderful mix of culture, food, and history as we explored old George Town.
No one left hungry or felt like we missed out on anything. We visited places of worship, admired street art, sampled food from the best street vendors, and met the families living on Chew Clan Jetty.
I highly recommend this tour!

A Delicious Adventure in Penang! - A Delicious Adventure in Penang!" This food tour in Penang was an absolute delight! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into Penang's rich culinary history and culture. The food itself was simply divine - every dish was a burst of flavor, showcasing the best of Penang's street food scene. But the highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the bar with live music. It was the perfect way to end the evening, enjoying delicious drinks and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Penang!

Well worth it - We had a great tour with Gary. Who was fantastic with our kids ( ages 13, 11, 8) as this tour was more for myself and my husband with three reluctant kids in tow. He was very kind to explain the dishes to them and made the tour really fun. Thanks Gary a super day out with an exceptional guide

More Than Just a Food Tour - We had a spectacular time. In addition to great food we got a historical and cultural tour of Penang’s UNESCO Heritage Area. So much so that we canceled our UNESCO tour that we had scheduled for the following day.
The food and drink that we sampled was all delicious. We couldn’t eat it all!
I highly, highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful experience - We had a wonderful tour with Wei Shen who was very knowledgeable on local cuisine as well as the history of Penang and surrounding areas. A must do experience when visiting Georgetown.

A must do… - Oh my goodness we ate! So much food - and all of it good. The best though was the stories and information that went with it. This is my 2nd time on a Simply Enak tour, yet it all felt new and interesting. Thanks Gary… I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to visitors to Georgetown.

A wonderful first day on a food tour with Wei Shen! - Brilliant walking and food tour with Wei Shen. He is not only a great guide to the intricate details of Penang history but also great company. The food places he took us to were fabulous! Lastly a cocktail at a bar led to great conversation. Thanks to Wei Shen for making our first day a very memorable one.

Great guide and good food - Gary is a great guide, very knowledgeable and explained the food well. We got so full we couldn't really do justice to the penultimate stop. We finished in a bar with live music and a drink.
This is not only a food tour but the tour took in some temples, and also some of the iron sculptures.
