good course! - We had a lovely time, our hostess explained the process of making pesto in depth with interesting facts about all the different ingredients.
She was engaged and very friendly, we would absolutely recommend it.

5-star Experience & Host - What an unforgettable experience! This pesto cooking class in Genoa was a true highlight of our trip. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, instantly making us feel at home. Her beautiful house set the perfect backdrop for an authentic Italian culinary experience.
The class was hands-on, fun, and filled with laughter. We learned how to make traditional Genovese pesto from scratch, and the smell alone was worth the trip! Paired with delicious local wine and freshly baked focaccia, everything we tasted was absolutely divine.
Great communication. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a truly local and heartwarming experience in Genoa!

Wonderful authentic experience - Alessandra was so inviting and lovely! She has a beautiful home and the class was a very fun and authentic experience, she's a great teacher and we learned a lot about the ingredients and wines of the region. I definitely recommend this class!

Amazing Pesto and Wonderful Host! - While traveling through Genova, my partner and I took Alessandra's pesto making class on a whim. The apartment was very easy to find and once we were welcomed into her home, we had coffee/ aperitivo with focaccia for a snack. Making the pesto was tons of fun and Alessandra had helpful pointers along the way. We enjoyed many different kinds of focaccia, olives, cookies, and wine (of course) with our finished pesto. Afterwards we stayed and chatted with Alessandra, who was a wealth of information about the region, city of Genova, and people in the area. Overall it was a heartwarming experience getting to learn and talk with Alessandra and we'll be sure to return to visit and say hi. 10/10 must recommend for Genova!

A Real Highlight in Genoa – Warm, Delicious, and Unforgettable - We were five friends visiting Genoa and decided to join this pesto-making class – and honestly, it was absolutely amazing!
Our host was incredibly warm and kind. Right from the start, it felt like we were visiting an old friend rather than attending a class. The atmosphere was super relaxed, and we felt completely at home.
The class itself was really fun and interesting – we didn’t just learn how to make proper Ligurian pesto with fresh basil, but also heard lots of great stories and fun facts about the ingredients and the local food culture.
There was also fresh focaccia, delicious Italian snacks, and excellent wine – all beautifully prepared and shared with so much care and hospitality. You could really feel the passion behind it all.
For us, this was one of the absolute highlights of our trip – a perfect mix of great food, culture, and heartfelt connection. If you’re in Genoa and want to experience something truly special, this is a must.

Amazing pesto and a great time! - We had the best time today with Alessandra! She taught us how to make authentic, mouth-watering pesto. Everything was amazing from the coffee and biscuits when we arrived to the pesto lesson and focaccia bread. We can’t thank her enough for her hospitality. She truly loves what she does and it made our experience the best!

Exceptional Experience - Where to begin…
Alessandra welcomed us into her home so joyfully and warmly. She is one of the most genuine people I’ve met in my lifetime. My twelve, eight, and five year old daughters had the BEST time making pesto.
She does such a nice job explaining each step and making sure each persons individual creation is up to par. Even my five year old (who ultimately went off the rails and added her own random ingredients).
This is our second class with Alessandra and I’d happily do a third during our next stay in Genova.
The entire experience, her knowledge of all things Genovese, and her kindness really deepen your love for the people of this city. We truly appreciated the experience and her hospitality.

Great time !!!!! - We had such a lovely time Saturday and learned a lot with Alessandra.
Today we went by boat all the way to Rio Maggiore and back as suggested from Ale...
