Easy inexpensive way to visit the most important places on a short visit - Very organized bus with a very nice helpful conductor, and guide she gave us headsets and was very helpful answering questions. Other than being very hot, it was wonderful.I’m

Good way to see the city - We had difficulty finding where to be picked up from the port. It was nice to see so many places with the narration. The onboard personnel were nice and helpful. The region was experiencing a heat wave so we only hopped off once.

Service to improve. - I made 2 tours of the city of Genoa with this bus. We took the blue line at 10.30 am on Sunday, August 17 from Principe station (I specify the time well because, since during The tour to the speaker insisted on asking us a judgment on the Service on Tripadvisor, perhaps they can identify the attendant who accompanied us ). The stewardess had a tag with the name: Serena and I think she was the one who started recording the guide to the various monuments of the city as we progressed along the way. He made mistakes at all times and often interrupted the explanation to announce the arrival at each stop. Bad Service! When we took the red line bus, fortunately we had a better attendant and it went much better.

Genoa a pit stop tour - Worth the money and has two options coastal or historic route that intertwines at places so you can see all of both routes . We got on at the cruise terminal however was given no guidance to where to find either of the start points this was very frustrating in 33 degree heat . After some walking we found one if the bus stops clearly marked however not all stops have a dedicated sightseeing stand and can be merged in to other boards .

Average - The ride was good. Photography was only possible to a very limited extent due to the bus design. The vehicles should be renewed or refurbished.

Waste of money. - The first staff member we came in contact with was extremely rude they way he spoke to people. The narrator talked about stuff that we couldn’t even see. At one point we had to sit downstairs and you couldn’t hear a word with the rattle the bus making. We then witnessed a horrible scene at first stop where staff were pushing and shouting at customers as the buses were too full. There appears to be no professional service here I definitely wouldn’t waste my money get a map and walk around you will see much more.

Lower your expectations - I was expecting a better more comfortable experience than what we received. For 30 euros an air conditioned bus with working outlets to hear the highlights and maybe some bottled water for guest would have really elevated the experience. Instead they over charge for a regular bus ride. I took the regular city bus in Genova and it was much more comfortable than this. The bus driver made a sudden stop and my little girl fell out of her seat and hit her leg against the metal bar and was crying. The worst part was when I expressed my thoughts to the office staff at the aquarium stop, they showed absolutely no empathy or even cared about my experience, this to me was the absolute worst part. When the workers could care less and rather than try to make it right in any way, they make you feel worse like you are just complaining to complain. One of the guys even had the audacity to ask me “well did you like Bocadasse” (the little beach village we stopped at), as if he built the town himself and I should just be grateful for that. He was rude and was confrontational rather than understanding. Do yourself a favor and take public buses or the taxi, both are cheaper and you would be way more comfortable in a taxi. It’s sad that people sacrifice to take vacations and have some fun and people who work in travel service have to act without understanding or compassion. Just a little more customer service care would go a long way.

Avoid Hop on Hop off Genoa at all costs! - We had a shocking and frustrating experience with the Hop-On Hop-Off bus in Genoa today. We waited 1 hour and 32 minutes at the VIA XX Settembre stop with absolutely no communication or signage to inform us that a road race was affecting the schedule. The app didn’t work as advised, and only one Red Line bus eventually came by and told us to “just keep an eye on the app.” Eventually, we walked to another stop under the hot sun and managed to get on a bus to the aquarium, where we were told to get off. When we tried to raise the issue with staff by the name of Alba, she suddenly couldn’t speak English—conveniently avoiding any responsibility. Things got worse when we called the emergency number. The manager who arrived was aggressive and rude, accusing us of lying about how long we had waited, despite us showing GPS time stamps. He refused to let us back on the bus and told us to walk back. At this point I would like to raise I have a walking impairment and struggle to walk. To make matters worse, when I asked the staff member for his name, he smugly told me, “I go by no name.” Completely unprofessional and deceptive. I’ve used hop-on hop-off buses in many cities across the world, and this was by far the worst service I have ever encountered. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and dishonest. I am demanding a full refund and will be warning others to avoid this disgraceful experience. I have read several reviews on Trip Adviser and my experience pretty much sums up what other people are experiencing. It's time Hop on Hop off does something about this!
