Absolutely loved this city - We did a walking tour organised by our cruise ship (Viking) that was just wonderful. Our guide Olga Libura was so knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour & made our short one day in Gdańsk very memorable. We walked & walked & took in the Golden Gate, Main Town Hall, the Green Gate, Artus’ Court, the amber shops & so much more. Wish we had more time here.

Walking Wikipedia .. very informative - Booked a 3 hour walking tour around the "Old" town area, (which we had a walk around the day before) and was astounded at how much we had walked past and not observed or taken in. Michael Maj arrived slightly ahead of time and was therefore prompt at hotel lobby and from the first moment all 5 of us were interested. Michael is fluent in Mandarin / English / Norwegian / Russian / English and learning more. We nicknamed him the walking encyclopedia (without Malice) his knowledge of history, dates, recommendations etc far surpassed what we expected. We had a very pleasant break for a coffee ( my wife is Singaporean and was astounded at how good his written and spoken Mandarin is) and extended his tour length as we were so interested ... Highly recommended, cannot praise enough .. the walk is at your pace .. not rushed not fast .. suitable for most. Thank-you Michael from all of us .. even from the scouser who must have embarrassed you at the Amber alter !!

Fun and Informative! - We thoroughly enjoyed our full morning tour though Gdansk Old Town with our guide, Agnieszka Syroka. She has an in-depth knowledge of Polish/Eastern Europe history, which she shares in an easy-to-understand and entertaining way. At the time, we thought her descriptive knowledge of brick-making to be odd on a tour, but we employed the information she gave us multiple times over the next three weeks of our Eastern Euporean travels! We would happily do another tour with Agnieszka if we ever get back to Gdansk!
