Highlights
  • Gdansk Shipyard - The cruise starts from the post-shipyard area - from the former Imperial Shipyard, where the production of u-boats took place. And right next to the existing shipbuilding industry - characteristic Gdansk cranes, specialized ships, exclusive yachts and a unique industrial atmosphere.
  • Motlawa River Embankment (Dlugie Pobrzeze) - Cruising along the long Motlawa river Embankment we will see the remains of the wall of the Teutonic Castle with The Swan tower, Water Gates leading to the city, including the famous Crane from 15th century, the most beautiful of the gates - the St. Mary’s Gate and the oldest gate - the Green Gate.
  • Ołowianka B&B - Olowianka Island - The functional use of the island has changed over the years. At present, on the island, we will see the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Royal Granary, the National Maritime Museum and the of Stonemason’s Bridge.

Granary Island - The Green Bridge connects the main part of the old town with the Granary Island. It is not difficult to guess what was located on the island given the name(the island had a storehouse where all the goods were kept). Currently, on the Island, we will see, among others remains of old granaries, including the best preserved granary Blue Lamb and their modern incarnation (the reconstruction of the Island after the Second World War).

Galley boat tour gives a different perspective on the historical value of the Main City. With us you will see unique places not available for walkers.

Additional Information

Experience the awe-inspiring sight of the sunset framed by the shipyard cranes. Explore Gdańsk from the waterways on a replica of a Polish river vessel that’s been in use for over four centuries. A cozy, wooden 12-seat boat will transport you to locations unreachable by larger vessels while the limited capacity ensures you a comfortable and exclusive experience. The journey will commence from the historic Gdańsk Shipyard areas which hadn’t permitted visitors for more than 170 years. Following this, you’ll navigate Motława, the heart of the Old Town, and sightsee numerous landmarks such as the ruins of the Teutonic castle, city water gates, the renowned wooden crane from the 15th century, and quaint old apartment buildings amidst modern settings. Your voyage will also introduce you to the monuments and modern architecture of Ołowianka Island and Granary Island. Additionally, this adventure presents a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a close inspection of specialist ships and Gdańsk cranes.

An extremely pleasant evening - This is an extremely pleasant way to spend an evening in Gdańsk. The cruise was a bit slow to get moving, but they were just waiting for the sun to go down - understandable. Plus, it allowed for plenty of time to take photos. The starting point was unfortunately difficult to find. Be sure to look for the “Yard Cafe” once you reach “Dokowa 1.” On foot, I had much better luck finding “Dokowa 1” via Google Maps rather than Apple Maps. This was a lot of fun and reasonably priced to be a 90-minute experience!

Sunset Cruise - We would get to see a different angle of downtown along the river way and the guide was extremely friendly and meticulously explained everything pertaining to the history of the city and what not. I recommend this boating cum cruise.

Excellent, chilled tour - Loved this experience. The boat ride was calm and beautiful and you could just observe the city from the water. The guide shared interested points, but also left lots of quiet time. I also loved that it went to the low land area outside of the city that most people don't get to see. Would highly recommend.

I can't say 'cause I didn't go - Eventually we didn't go, a shame because it must be so good. See if next time we can do it. I booked it because it seemed very palatable.

Disappointing cancellation - We were disappointed that our cruise was cancelled on our recent trip to Gdansk. The cruise was cancelled because of crane works in the water and it was beyond their control, and I understand that the trip had to be cancelled. We had got a taxi to the embarkation point and had to get a taxi back to town, but we were only told that the cruise was cancelled when we got there - surely they could have let us know sooner to save us the cost of the taxis? The company have already refunded the cost and provided us with a voucher to use some other time, so they handled that well. Just wish we could have been advised of the cancellation sooner.
