From here the best view in South Wales can be experienced, looking north to the highest peak in The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, Pen Y Fan, 40 miles away and south over the Bristol Channel to England. The descent westward through Beech woodland and bright vistas over Cardiff passing the stylish Old Cottage pub where refreshments may be taken.
