Highlights
  • Stirling Castle - Your expert Tour Guide will take you over to Stirling Castle, one of the most historic Castles in Scotland. Besieged by Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746 during the Jacobite Uprising (Think Outlander) it has connections also to Mary Queen of Scots and swapped hands between the Scots and the English during the Wars of Independence (Think Braveheart) You’ll get the chance to visit the castle and learn all about what makes this castle so significant.

  • Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park - You’ll be exploring in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and hearing all about the Highland boundary fault line and how the land crashing together in this exact location millions of years ago has created the beautiful landscape renowned the world over. Your guide will share stories of history, legend, wildlife, and much more and explain why this area of Scotland is such a special location.

  • Glengoyne Distillery - Your guide will quench that thirst of our “water of life” and get you over to Glengoyne Distillery where you’ll have the freedom to enjoy a guided Whisky Distillery Tour and see how Scotch Whisky is produced and even sample a wee dram or two to warm you after the hike.

  • The Kelpies & The Helix - These mythical creatures are prevalent in Scottish waters and depending on what you believe can cause a lot of havoc to unsuspecting locals.
The origins of the kelpie are believed to be rooted in human sacrifices to the water gods however this concept eventually died out and the story of the kelpie was then used to keep children from playing too near to lochs and dangerous rivers.

Amazing Day Tour Experience from Edinburgh - I have to say this is one of the best day tours I have ever been on whilst travelling. We were in the care of Owen and Eila (sorry if I misspell your names), both of them were welcoming and funny throughout the tour. With sprinkles of historical stories of the area we were travelling in between the destinations. Although the tour started at 8:30am and ended some time around 6:00pm, time really flies by when you are sitting in the comfort of the car and the amusing stories that are told along the way. Owen and Eila were also very informed of the destinations and Scotland in general. So if you have any curious questions, you can always get a thorough and authentic answer. The greater part is that the size of the tour group is quite small, so you’ll be able to get away from the busy crowds. Consequently, have more opportunities to ask questions that you might be dying to ask. Additionally, the icebreaker introduction at the beginning of the tour really helped to settle the mood, and made our group feel like a team travelling through the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands. Owen and Eila on multiple occasions offered to take group photos for us, so it’s definitely a bonus point for those who are looking to make lasting memories.

Great first visit to Scotland with an excellent guide! - Owen was a fantastic guide. We loved the small bus experience with lots of opportunities to ask questions. Our first full day in Scotland and this tour did not disappoint. We saw a little bit of everything - an historic castle, a bagpiper in kilt, Loch Lomond, the Kelpies. The whiskey tasting at GlenGoyne distillery was just delightful!

Worthwhile intimate day tour of the lands - Stirling castle and Loch Lomond were absolutely stunning. Could’ve spent more time except this being just a day tour. Glengoyne distillery tour and the whisky tasting was very informative and fun! Personally, could’ve skipped the Kelpies stop at the end, but that’s just me. Chris, our guide, was awesome - very friendly and full of information. It was a nice van with just 8 of us plus the guide, so I felt like it was so much better than a huge bus tour with 50 other people. All in all, a worthwhile day trip out of Edinburgh for a glimpse of Scotland!

Beautiful views in Scotland - The views were truly breathtaking. This was a fun experience that tied both Scottish historic and modern wonders. We enjoyed every part of this tour and it was only made better by the great guide we had, Richie. You could tell he was genuine, enjoyed his job and had a lot of good stories to tie into the sites and pass the time in the van. The small tour setting gave us our own personal experience. I would highly recommend.

STUNNING SCOTLAND!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏰🏔️ - We just arrived after a 24 flight from Sydney Australia, but the crisp Highland air and our tour guide Richie's entertaining Scottish banter was enough to shake the jet lag! Truly the trip of a lifetime, and really loved being in a deliberately small tour group, made for a much more personalised experience. All the venue tours were highly informative and Richie was a wealth of local knowledge too. Scenery just stunning!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏰🏔️
