Phenomenal Flavor Profiles - The tasting was fantastic! We were given a nice tour of the distillery with lots of history and facts about procurement of ingredients as well as the naming of various liquors. I would highly recommend. Before I boarded my flight back to the USA, I purchased a bottle of the sheep dung smoked aged reserve whisky. Thanks for giving me a taste of your wonderful country!

Not to be missed in Reykjavik. - This is, by far, the best distillery tour I have ever taken. Eimwerk is the first -- and as if now, the only -- whisky distillery in Iceland. They use Icelandic grown barley to make their base liquor. They then either add Ucelandic botanical to make gin or age it in American oak barrels to make their whisky. The tour started in their tasting room with a gin and tonic made with their Navy gin. We then proceeded to taste every one of their regular bottling. 10 tastes in all. Half way through the tasting, we retired to the distilling area to learn about the processes and ingredients they use to create their liquors. Then back to the tasting room to complete the tasting. The gentlemen leading the tour and tasting was fabulous -- knowledgeable, friendly, and he had a great sense of humor. If you're in the Reykjavik, Iceland area, don't miss this place. Tours are 35 Euro per person -- absolutely worth every penny -- and need to be booked in advance.

nice evening with a lot of alcohol - The guide showed us the distillery. It is very small, but much of craft work. We had a lot of fun while drinking Gin and Whisky. The guide know to entertain the people. The whisky is not bad, but we didn't expect, that the gin is really good!

The further adventures of a whisky tester. - From the second that you open the door, the smell of whisky stored, Dark and warm atmosphere that is essential for the coming experience (magnificent, me thinks) Chatting muted and watchful glances, glasses in hand the tour begins. Stepping into where the magic begins, I am amazed with the new wide aromas of caraway way seeds and other botanicals brewing OMG!! What a whiff. Back outside to the store, we where enthralled with the even richer history of the whisky Who what when and where as the whisky was sampled, It's a tuff job but someone has to do it. Just how good is this place? A highlight of my entire adventure. And I'm coming back with more people.

Not only for whisky fans a great experience! - The tour was another highlight of our Icelandic trip. In addition to tasty and very interesting gin & whisky varieties, which we will definitely recommend in Germany, the tour was very interesting, as it was also about Iceland and the Icelanders. We are also very happy that the tour took place, although there were only two of us and even in German :-). We can only recommend a visit!

Fantastic experience, highly recommend! - Just randomly googled if Iceland did their own Whiskey and was extremely happy when I came across Eimverk. Jon was a fantastic host and me and my mate had a great time listening to all his stories and sampling all the different gins and whiskeys. Highly recommend! From the Welsh lads.

Casual yet highly informative and fun tour - Highly recommended if you love whisky! What a pleasure it was, this tour. We were received by the wonderful Eva, one of the co-founders of the distellery, and she has proven herself to be a wonderful source of information on and passion for their products. We were lucky enough to have a private tour, as no one else booked, and besides tasting all their amazing gins and whisky's, we got to walk around the actual machines. When I noticed that Eva knew more than just her whisky's, about Iceland to be exact, she fell into another passion where she was able to give us the best history lessons on Iceland as a bonus. Might have been the best tour we've done in Iceland, cause of her knowledge and well, whisky! And all this for ~35 EUR? It's a steal. Thanks again, Eva!
