Exploring Galway - First of all, Arthur met us in our hotel, which is very close to the starting point of the tour he gave us a brief history of Galway and Ireland. Arthur was so extensive in his knowledge of Galway and things that we would not have seen without him. Galway is a beautiful city rich in history and culture. Arthur also gave us recommendations on food and shops. This is a must do tour and hopefully you will be as lucky as we were to get Arthur as your guide thank you, John and Erick from Chicago.

Exploring Galway - We were lucky enough to get Arthur as our tour guide of Galway. This was one of my favorite tours in Ireland. Arthur was so personable and detailed on the history making it informative, but fun. I feel we saw details that we would not have seen if we weren’t with him. Galway was one of our favorite cities. This is definitely a do not miss Tour.

A True Irish Gentleman in Galway - Arthur is the real deal. As a man, I can say he’s the kind of guide you respect instantly — knowledgeable, genuine, and grounded. He took me through the Spanish Quarters, the old city walls, and the docks, weaving in the history of the Tribes of Ireland with ease and authority. We started in sunshine, got hit with rain, and then were back to blue skies — all four Irish seasons in one tour — and Arthur never missed a beat. He’s the guy who makes you feel like you’re seeing Galway the right way. And ladies, take note: he’s a true Irish gentleman, so you’ll feel completely comfortable and taken care of. This is a tour you don’t want to miss. ⸻ Arthur, thank you for an incredible walking tour. Your command of Galway’s history — from the Tribes of Ireland to the city walls — was impressive, and you made the entire experience feel effortless. You kept the pace just right and carried us through sunshine, rain, and back again with a sense of fun. You’re not just a guide, you’re the guy people should see Galway with.

Ideal for couples who love architecture, history, hidden streets and local legends - Arthur provided a phenomenal walking tour for my husband and I...we are history lovers and having been born in the area (and having an amazing story), he was able to share not only the historical nuances but also what it was like to grow up in Galway during the 70's, 80's, 90's, what it was like to actually see JFK come to Galway and speak in the park...one of a kind experience. 5 starts.

Excellent tour and wonderful guide - My wife and I booked this private tour of Galway hoping to learn more deeply about the history and people that shaped this city. We were incredibly fortunate to be guided by Arthur, dual qualified as a long-time native of Galway and licensed tour guide. Our tour maintained a relaxed pace as we discovered multiple examples of Galway’s history dating as far back as the 13th century, most of which are hidden in plain sight. Arthur was abundantly patient and generous with his time as he answered our many questions along the way and, to our delight, shared some of his own history from childhood through adulthood, connecting some of these recollections to the structures we were viewing. He is a genuine Galway treasure and this tour is a great way to get a foundational course in Galway history.

History Tour - Arthur was very knowledgable and knew an impressive amount of facts. He pointed details in buildings that most people would miss. Galway is a vibrant city so we enjoyed both the history Arthur shared with us and the vibe of the city.
