A century event - The sea is so dominant here that the sand has been eroded, pushing the private beaches back. Some of the deck chairs had to be removed completely. The sea is taking back its place.

Beach resorts are a cheek - Actually very nice beach. But: in Viareggio there are only 2 very small strips of free beach and you are not allowed to put up your own umbrella here. You have to pay for everything, otherwise you will be driven out. The Stranbaden are bold for a free Europe. We will not come back here despite the very friendly people of the city. It's a shame.
