Great guide and history eye opener! - We had an enjoyable insightful time. Our presenter/guide was very knowledgeable, patient, responsive, and cordial. I would highly recommend this tour because it brings a wealth of history and knowledge to the forefront to experience the reality of our heritage. It's like a taster tour well planned that motivates and inspires you to come back on your own for a deeper dive into the Juneteenth experience and more. Job well done!

A Galveston Must Do - Juneteenth & Beyond Tour! - Dr. Sorrell provided an exceptional tour. Her passion for Black History and culture is infectious. This cultural tour explores more than your typical antidotes. She is keenly aware of drawing people to the truths of history that are not always rightly told or shared in mainstream venues.

Black History Juneteenth and Beyond Tour in Galveston - Dr. Araminta Sorrell is a knowledgeable guide. Her overview of Juneteenth and the history of African-Americans in Galveston is phenomenal. She shared information, asked questions about our thoughts and beliefs, and answered our queries. It was time well spent with a true teacher who includes the tourist/local in her passion for the area and the history that has not been regularly taught. We kept saying, "Wow! and "Who knew?", as she took us from location to location and gave us facts. I even took notes to share my learning with others!
