Gaborone - Upon arrival at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, a safari guide will greet you with a sign reading “MARVELOUS MOBILE SAFARI.” The guide will escort you to your accommodation, where you will spend one night on a bed and breakfast basis at your own cost. Lunch and dinner will also be at your own expense.

Khama Rhino Sanctuary - The Khama Rhino Sanctuary (KRS) is a community-driven wildlife initiative, founded in 1992 to help save the endangered rhinoceros, restore the area’s natural wildlife habitat, and provide economic benefits to the local Botswana community through tourism and sustainable resource use. This fascinating activity takes place in the mornings only, guided by our qualified experts. The aim is not only to spot rhinos but also to learn about their survival techniques and habits developed over time. The activity begins at 6:00 am, and participants are advised to wear suitable footwear and bush-colored clothing. Afterward, guests will return to the campsite for brunch. In the afternoon, a game drive offers the opportunity to see animals like black and white rhinos. Dinner will be served back at the campsite.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Central Kalahari Game Reserve - After an early breakfast, you will head to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, which spans 52,000 square kilometers. You will spend two nights at Deception Valley, staying in tented camps. During this time, you will track the black-maned lion of the Kalahari. African wild dogs, cheetahs, and brown hyenas are also present, following their prey in this wild landscape. Today, this ancient fossil river forms a vast and stunning valley in the reserve’s southern part, where the open grasslands come alive with the rains, supporting abundant wildlife. Deception Valley is the reserve’s most renowned spot, a long, wide inter-dune valley running north-south, believed to be a fossil riverbed. After good rains, it is covered in lush green grass that attracts dense game concentrations. An afternoon game drive will be followed by dinner at the campsite, prepared by the chef.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Central Kalahari Game Reserve - Rise at around 6:00 am for a light breakfast and a game drive through areas not covered the previous day. Return to camp for lunch and a rest before heading out for another afternoon game drive. Upon returning to camp, enjoy a shower followed by dinner. Bedtime will be determined by the last guest.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve - On the day of departure, you will be transferred to Maun and then to the airport to continue with your travel plans.

The Central Botswana Safari spanning 7 days commences in Maun, where you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, which marks the first intriguing sightseeing point in the tour. The journey goes on to include Lekhubu Island and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, concluding again in Maun where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
