- Baia de Camara de Lobos - Here you will have some time to explore the amazing Câmra de Lobos fishing bay.
- Cabo Girao - “It is the highest cape in Europe, at an elevation of 580 m, and is famous for its suspended glass platform.
The Cabo Girão viewpoint, situated on the highest promontory in Europe, at an elevation of 580 m, offers a vertiginous view of the fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão – small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliff – as well as magnificent panoramic views over the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
The viewpoint has been renovated, and a suspended glass platform, called a skywalk, was built.
It is an excellent spot to practice paragliding and base jumping. Recently, the Portuguese parachutist Mário Pardo performed a spectacular motorcycle leap here.
Nearby is the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Our Lady of Fátima), built in 1951 and one of the main pilgrimage sites of the island.” (visitmadeira.pt)
- Seixal - On visiting Seixal village you’ll have enough time to explore this area including the dark sand beach.
- Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools - In Porto Moniz we will stop for lunch for lunch and for a swim in lava natural pools.
- Ponta Do Sol - After Lunch in Porto Moniz we will go up towards Paul da Serra though some off-roads, then we cross Paul da Serra before making our way down towards Canhas where we will have our last stop of the day in the snack bar O Rochão.

Highly recommended tour - Excellent tour with excellent guide, John, who shared his many years local knowledge and was flexible on stop times, especially in Porto Moniz where he allowed extra time for bathing in the rock pools.

An unforgettable experience with Safari Madeira – thanks to our wonderful guide John! - Our West Safari with Safari Madeira was simply fantastic! From the moment we were picked up, we knew we were in good hands. Our guide John was a huge added value: full of passion and knowledge, he talked about everything we encountered along the way – from impressive landscapes and local plants to the history of the island villages we drove through. His enthusiasm was contagious and made the whole ride lively and educational.
The places we visited on the west side of Madeira were truly breathtaking. We were taken to quiet viewpoints, hidden waterfalls, rugged cliffs and charming villages that felt like well-kept secrets. Each stop was a postcard in itself – unforgettable beauty.
What we also greatly appreciated was the relaxed pace of the day. There was more than enough time to take pictures, enjoy the views with family, take a rest or just reflect on the natural beauty around us. No rush, just pure enjoyment.
In short: an absolute must for those who want to experience the real Madeira, with a guide who makes you feel like you are on the road with a friend. Thank you John and Safari Madeira – you have made our trip unforgettable.

Definitely a must do - thank you safari Madeira! - Great tour! It is a really nice and quick way to get a good overview of part of the island, and getting to see some awesome spots. The tour excellently explores some of the diversely different landscapes the island has to offer, along with a great and friendly tour guide that can tell you a lot about the island!

Great day out - Thanks to Rodriguez our driver for giving us a great day out. He was a great driver and gave us lots of information about the island. He gave us all a fun day , Thankyou!
I highly recommend this trip. There is not too much walking , with several stops including a great chance to swim in the rock pools. Take some euros and some loose change with you and remember your jackets or jumpers especially if you are in the back of the jeep! There is not much leg room in the back if you are tall and be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride. Overall a great and thrilling day to enjoy some of the best highlights of the island!

Fun day out - Rodriquez made our safari trip very enjoyable with lots of friendly chat and information . He brought us all together by interacting with us all and was a master at driving round all the twists and turns! The trip takes you to some of the best highlights of the island. Be prepared to have the wind in your hair and to bounce around a bit if you are in the back of the jeep as you are taken on this scenic journey across the island. A couple of tips :it was a bit breezy in the back of the jeep, so remember to take a jumper/ jacket / cap. Remember too your swimsuits and towels if you want to go swimming. We paid 3 euros each for the entrance to the larger rock pool ( the smaller one is free) Although it was busy, there was plenty of space to swim with shallow and deeper areas. Good sized changing rooms with payable lockers.
Some loose change is a good idea also for the toilets at one of the stops ( 50 cents) as is taking some euros if you want to buy some refreshments at one of the stops.

A great day visiting the sights - Our driver Bryan took us to some of the key to be seen locations on the island. The experience was quite unique combining off road experiences and some incredibly steep and narrow roads.
An amazing day well worth the time. One suggestion book directly !!

So you can see how the inhabitants live and live. and experience the culture of Madeira - The tour was easy to book, you will be picked up at your stay address. It was a nice company. The guide also told a lot about the tour and locals. How they live, what's grown. So you see the island in a completely different way.
