Brilliant experience - Worth every penny. Ricardo and Enrico were excellent guides. The combined experience of going up the hill in a tuk tuk before coming down it in a glorified bread basket was great fun. The tour ended with a visit to the old town, which was fab.

Perfect Driver. - We were picked up directly from our hotel by a Tuk Tuk driven by Ricky. He contacted us the day before to confirm the arrangements and recommend the best time to start the Monte Toboggan tour. His advice to go early was perfect, as the queue gets long very quickly. Ricky was an excellent guide — friendly, chatty, and full of local knowledge. He also showed us some wonderful photo spots along the way. Overall, he made the whole experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly recommended!

Perfect way to explore Funchal - Ricardo Silva is an amazing tuk tuk driver in Funchal! He is open, funny, and very knowledgeable – making the tour both entertaining and informative. TukTuk Tour - We had a fantastic experience with Ricky and the TukTuk tour! The TukTuk itself was excellent—clean, comfortable, and a fun way to explore the area. Ricky was incredibly thoughtful from the start. He let us know in advance that the toboggan rides were closed on Sundays, which was the day we had originally booked. He kindly and graciously rescheduled us for Monday morning instead. During the tour, Ricky pointed out interesting sights and shared insightful information about the island. He even walked with us all the way to the entrance of the toboggan line to make sure we were all set. One of the highlights was how thoughtful he was to take photos and record a video of my husband and me as we descended on the toboggan—such a wonderful memory to have! Afterward, Ricky continued the tour through the Old Town, pointing out landmarks and sharing more history along the way. He was professional, sincere, and clearly passionate about what he does. Highly recommend this tour and especially Ricky if you want a memorable and personalized experience!

Great fun trip with knowledgeable guide - The company contacted us the day before the trip to ask if we could start at 9 instead of 10am. This turned out to be a great move as we had no wait at all for the basket trip from Monte into Funchal. This trip is a must - do for any visitor to Madeira but the queues can get very long so arriving early makes sense. The tuk tuk trip to the top was very enjoyable, taking in the ever-expanding view of Funchal, the surrounding mountains and the Atlantic Ocean all accompanied by interesting commentary by our guide Ricky. He was great fun, had excellent English and knew the answer to every question we asked, and many that we didn’t!.

We had a great time! - We had a wonderful time on the tuk tuk tour. Our guide was knowledgable and friendly. He waited for us while we had a toboggan ride and he took a little video of us as we came down. It was a wonderful morning out.

Take the Tuk Tuk tour & tobaggan ride in Monte! - Ricardo was the BEST tuk tuk driver and guide! He gave us a great tour explaining what we were seeing and stopping along the way. He also gave us great recommendations of what to do and see in Old Town after our tour. Our tabaggan ride down the mountain was exhilarating and a little scary. We highly recommend the Tuk Tuk tour and the tabaggan ride! Ask for Ricardo!

Fantastic Tuk-tuk - The ride started perfectly, smooth explanation from Ricardo. Immediately we had a view of and over Funchal. Much better and certainly faster as on foot. Ricardo gave very fascinating explanations about this beautiful city and this fascinating island. He took us to the Toboggan, where we made a screaming descent. Then a nice tour in the center.
