After exploring and taking pictures, we’ll venture to the island’s north side, including Ribeiro Frio and Faial, along the ancient royal footpath. Here, we’ll be captivated by the geometry of the island’s oldest terraces, crossing the wonderful Laurisilva forest and water springs that supply the trout tanks. You’ll be amazed by the isolated rural nature of the villages we visit.
