This demanding 12km walk, spanning approximately 5 hours, links two of Madeira Islands’ highest peaks, presenting an awe-inspiring journey that includes tunnels and steep climbs and descents, offering phenomenal vistas of the mountain’s heart. The intense walk associates the two topmost peaks of Madeira Island: Pico Ruivo (1862 m) and Pico do Areeiro (1817 m), traversing a portion of the Central Mountain.
