Refreshing Levada Walk - I really enjoyed this walk. It was a refreshing break from the hot Madeiran sun that I’d had a little too much of. It was a nice easy walk with an interesting guide, through a lovely cool fresh air filled levada trail. Was very interesting to hear how the levadas work and hear about the various flora and fauna. Would recommend for a pleasant half day tour.
Don’t wear white trainers though! It’s very dusty.

Lovely walk - Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and interesting, with very good English. It was a lovely walk - not too far, and easy, almost flat and not too arduous. I had a couple of queries before we booked, these were responded to quickly, and the pick-up/drop-off worked fine, although pick-up was a little late.

Very nice guided tour, well organized - More of a walk than a hike with friendly and knowledgeable local accompaniment, the Paradise Valley-Levada tour is a good start even for visitors who are still unsure whether they will trust themselves (and their footwear) to take a full-day hike.
We had a lot of fun, learned a few things and felt something looking into the “heart” of the island. Nice!

Easy happy walk - I enjoyed this wooded stroll through a bit of the path along a levada. Guide was very cheerful and knowledgeable about the area.

Paradise Valley Levada - This levada walk is ideal for anyone who wants to explore without joining an organised walk.
By checking the bus times you can start by walking (uphill) on the roadside to then join the levada. There is a cafe bar at the end of the walk which is at a bus terminus to go back to Funchal, via Camacha.

Great easy walk. - Great walk just over 3 miles, was very easy and flat. Was told to pack jacket and drinks but no need as weather was warm and stopped at a little bar half way.
Was picked up at 8.30 walk started at 9. Was back at hotel at 12.30. Tour guide very knowledgeable about area and plants.

An ideal starter Levada walk - A very easy flat walk...no issues with any extreme drops or rugged paths. Patricia our guide was informative and friendly.
A walk in nature rather than for stunning views...ideal for anyone as it really was an easy stroll.
