Great tour of this lovely city. - Great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and quite charming. The tour was led at a gentle pace and we covered a lot of this lovely city, learning a great deal about the history of Funchal and Madeira. There was not a single question that she could not answer! We finished of with a tasting of Madeira wine.

Excellent and good value tour - We had a lovely tour on our first afternoon in Funchal. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny and it gave us a good idea of places we wanted to visit more fully in our week there.

Definitely worth booking - The walk very much depends on your expectations and the guide’s enthusiasm. Luckily, I had ILean who handled the tour very well and explained all the places of interest with the precise amount of information and fun details. Well done!

Our guide was a student... - Our guide was a student at the university, and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. As a solo traveler, this was a great way for me to see Funchal and meet other people

Excellent - high recommend - A really lovely tour around the old town with lots of information. We saw sites and learned lots about the history that shaped this beautiful town. Added bonus was that the ticket price supports students access learning and activities when otherwise they wouldn’t be able to.

Funchal Walking Hidden Insights - I highly recommend doing a walking tour when you visit a new city to really get a feel for the history and learn the little secrets that as a tourist you would be unaware of. An interesting tour in Funchal - A very nice guide, who had a lot of knowledge about the sights in the old town of Funchal. However, he had limited information beyond the details about the specific places we stopped at, and he also did not provide any information between the stops. We assume this is because he had limited experience as a guide in Funchal, as he was 20 years old and came from the Netherlands. But we expect that once he has conducted quite a few more guided tours, he will both be more relaxed in his presentation and have more general information on his tours.

Interesting guided walk - A good way to get familiar with old Funchal and also learn some history. Tomas was a knowledgeable guide. Due to traffic noise it was sometimes hard to hear him but he tried his best.
