Gardens of paradise. - Stunning gardens and brilliant value for money..loads to see and loads to take pics of.
Plus the bonus of taking the cable to and from funchal.

Great way to spend a few hours - Al the times we’ve been to Madeira and we’ve always threatened to do this experience and now we have!
It did not disappoint.
The cable car whilst busy, moved smoothly and provided stunning views of Funchal.
Then the Palace garden; lots of history between Portugal and Japan to discover as well as a huge variety of plants, flowers and artefacts.
It’s chilly at the top with the threat of rain hanging in the air but that’s how Madeira gets its beautiful landscape.
Definitely worth a few hours of your holiday

Beautiful garden recommended - View is beautiful. Lots of pictures of the flowers and the "balding" flamingos. Then with the sled down you really have to do. And then half an hour walk down and you're back in the center

Great value and highly recommended - 1st time to Madeira, so we decided to book a half day trip.
We were collected on time, had a very informative guide and really enjoyed the experience as a whole.

Must-see, must-see - TROPICAL MOUNTAIN GARDEN on the heights of Funchal, recommended access by taxi or Uber. Parking small. Very nice Garden, 10 € pers, very well arranged, clean, neat. A favorite, ocean view, I recommend, visit in 2 hours,

A couple of hours to do it justice - Delightful gardens accessed from near the Monte terminal at the top Cable Car station or the lower entrance accessed via bus or taxi.
Your adult ticket costs €15 pp but this gives you access to clean park toilets, the cafés and the Museum.
Note – the Gardens are extensive and pathways VERY steep. You typically need 2 hours + to do justice to your visit.

Stunning Gardens - So enjoyed our trip .
Lovely 2 hrs here including coffee and cake in the gorgeous cafe overlooking a spectacular view .

Well guided tour - Deloris was a great guide but we all thought the description of the tour could be better as we all thought we would be getting the cable car up

Things to consider for a fun experience - The tour of the gardens was lovely. Wear shoes that are comfortable in uneven terrain. The garden tour and tram ride are included, the downhill basket ride is not. it is super fun, though. Luckily, because my name was on her list, our tour guide paid for our entrance fee to the gardens. My phone ticket was not recognized at the entrance. So, do not try to enter without the tour group. The pina colada in a pineapple at a kiosk about halfway through the tour is really good, if you like that sort of thing.
