• Faja Do Rancho Beach - A must-visit destination when in Madeira. This charming and picturesque fishing bay is postcard-perfect. The view from this point is absolutely breathtaking.
• Cabo Girao - Standing as one of the tallest sea cliffs globally at 580 meters, this glass-bottom viewpoint offers stunning and awe-inspiring views of the fajãs below, along with a panoramic vista over Câmara de Lobos and Funchal bay. Please note, access to the Sky Walk viewpoint incurs a fee of 3 euros per person, and the toilets cost 50 cents. These fees are not included in the tours.
• Praia da Ribeira Brava - A typical town on Madeira’s southern coast, where visitors can explore the local Farmers Market. From the Southwest Coast, the journey continues north through Paul da Serra at 1500 meters.
• Posto Florestal Fanal - Fanal Forest is like a scene from a movie. When fog envelops the area, it becomes the highlight of the West Tour. The ancient trees, dating back to the discovery and colonization of Madeira Island, are living wonders. Photos cannot capture their true beauty and magic. This unique and rare location on Madeira Island should be visited and appreciated without causing harm or pollution. P.S. The 2023 Star Wars film was shot in this forest.
• Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools - Porto Moniz is a highlight of the West Tour and a major reason visitors book this tour. The natural pools, surrounded by volcanic lava, make this town extraordinary. “Beautiful” and “attractive” perfectly describe this magnificent spot. Visitors have time to swim in the natural pools and enjoy a meal. P.S. Please note: the entrance fee to the pools is not included and costs 3 euros per person. While some pools are free, these are paid options. Please avoid leaving wet towels or bathing suits on the van’s upholstery to prevent damage.
• Ribeira da Janela - Ribeira da Janela is a major attraction on Madeira Island’s north coast. Its striking rock formation rising from the Atlantic Ocean is a sight to behold, reminiscent of a National Geographic film. One of the initial scenes of the 2023 Star Wars movie, filmed on Madeira Island, was shot here. Additionally, a new tourist attraction, a zip line, is available at this location.
