Well worth a visit - A really good tour with plenty of information shared. A must see view and tour. Not for someone who doesn’t like heights or steep views down. If you don’t mind it then it’s perfect. It’s really a beautiful island

Half day trip to Nun’s Valley. Recommend. Worth doing! - We booked this half day trip to Madeira - Nun’s Valley - via Get Your Guide. We were collected outside our hotel - less than a five minute walk by a mini bus. It was a full mini bus - 16 passengers but didn’t feel cramped. Plenty of time at each stop to take photos. The scenery was amazing. Our favourite stop was the last stop at the beautiful fishing village of Câmara De Lobos where we stayed for 40 mins and had the chance to sit take in the view and try a traditional poncha in the sun. Our driver was great, very knowledgeable and very patient. Would recommend. We found half a day was enough and felt like we had seen and done lots. Good value for money too.

Nuns of the Valley without any Nuns - The tour was brilliant, the driver was extremely knowledgable and reminded me of the dad in my big fat Greek wedding with his anecdotes about everything originating from Madeira. The stops to view the areas were the right length without any boredom setting in…. Just disappointing that I didn’t see one nun. They must have been in their holidays….

Great excursion in the afternoon. If you didn't see it, you missed something. - The driver shared very interesting details about island life throughout the trip. Even without a perfect command of English you could understand him well. The viewpoints, especially the Eira do Serrado was breathtakingly beautiful.

A lovely afternoon out! - We were out over 3hrs and the driver took us to see some amazing sights, especially Nuns Valley which was jaw dropping scenery. He also took us to a beautiful fishing village just outside of Funchal called Camara da Lobos and we just wished we could have stayed slightly longer. All in all it’s been a good afternoon out and the trip is value for money and we were picked up from our hotel and taken back.

Spectacular scenery & tour - Our tour guide, on this half day tour, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and full of information and always ready to answer any questions anyone had. We stopped off at a vantage point at Picos dos Barcelos which gave us a 360° view of Funchal, the views were breathtaking looking up into the mountains and then back down to sea level. Our next stop was Eira do Serrado, over 1000km above sea level, well the scenery just blew you away when you walked up to the vantage point overlooking the Valley of the Nuns. A trip into the village for a stop off and then into Camara dos Lobas a fishing village, for a stop & wander, such a lovely place with a real vibe. This your was recommended to us and we are so pleased we had the chance to do it ourselves. Would highly recommend 👍🤩.

A Lovely Afternoon - This was a lovely afternoon tour. A nice relaxed atmosphere, a small group in the minibus. We visited some lovely villages, the highlight was Camara De Lobos, which was beautifully decorated for the local carnival.

Below average vehicle. Bored, tired driver. - The Madeira location and highlights were awesome. There was nothing exceptional about the trip itself. The vehicle was below average. The AC was either non functional or turned off. The driver had difficulty with the vehicle on and off. The driver himself appeared too tired/bored doing these trips over and over, cleared expressed lack of energy and enthusiasm. I

For people looking for a short trip and visiting souvenir shops. - The tour guide were quite nice, and tried to share a lot of information. There were also two nice corners to see, but unfortunately it would be more about shopping and visiting the souvenir shops. I wouldn't recommend it personally. For people who actually can't walk much, the trip would be okay.
