The real Madeira in comfort - A really great day out. We were picked up very close to where we were staying. Our minibus was very comfortable shared with 6 other passengers. Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of Madeiran life culture, history and nature. All the stops were fully explained as to where to go and what to see, and we arrived back on time feeling we had really seen some great places we wouldn't have otherwise experienced. Highly rated.

Brilliant day out! - We went on the Go West Island tour with Luis (senior) last week and we absolutely loved it! Madeira is a much better and more scenic island than we expected. Luis was a brilliant tour guide and driver, so friendly, informative and knowledgeable. We even had a chance to put his first aid skills to the test when I fell down the stairs at Cabo Girão and hurt my knee. He did a great job bandaging me up and we managed to get some ice from a nearby coffee shop, so I could carry on with the tour. There were toilets and facilities at almost every stop, which was a real bonus. I would definitely recommend Madeira Happy Tours and we'll definitely book with them again when we come back to the island in the future.

You won’t regret it. - Bit of a spur of the moment decision to go on this tour but we were really happy we did. It’s a great introduction to this beautiful island with some spectacular scenery and viewpoints. Much cheaper than hiring your own car and probably safer too. The roads aren’t as hair-raising as they used to be but they’re still pretty full on if you aren’t used to mountain driving. Luis, our driver and guide gave us a fantastic overview of the island and was really interesting. I’ll definitely book another tour when I’m next visiting.

Great West Coast tour - Very enjoyable trip with an excellent tour guide, Nico. Comfortable mini bus and Nico was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had good weather and saw lots of places we would not have seen without a guided tour. Recommended.

Don’t hesitate to book this tour - Fantastic tour of beautiful island. Lots of stops with sufficient time to explore. Our amazing driver/guide was Lewis who was very friendly and informative. Great value for money.

Excellent tour service - Superb tour. Our driver Hugo was excellent with lots of interesting details explained as we toured the beautiful island of Madeira. Prompt pick up - a full day tour taking in some amazing scenery and places. Amazing value for money. If you are in Madeira this is the tour to go on!

Worthwhile trip, excellent Company - Excellent trip, spoiled only by poor weather. Driver was very good, changed the itinerary to make up for the poor visibility. Still a very enjoyable day and would recommend the trip and Madeira Happy Tours.

get to see where you cant access by public bus. - We took the Go west tour to Porto Moniz, for the second time. Both tours, 2 years apart and different drivers, were excellent but different from each other. Follows the same route around the island, cabo Giaro, Ribiera brava, across the center and a long stop in Porto Moniz. The first had loads of short stops of 10 mins, whist this years (with Hugo) had fewer stops but a more useful amount of time which was better.
Maybe the changes were as a result of recent fires and road closures.
I would go again.
