A lovely moment at sea. - Very good and nice boat trip, good crew and safe boat. On this particular day we didn't see any dolphins, whales or sea turtles, but we felt very satisfied anyway!

So beautiful this experience - Such a nice boat crew... such a wonderful boating experience! It was pleasant that it wasn't such a large group.. felt private. And yes, we saw dolphins too, that was magical! But even if you shouldn’t see any dolphins, sailing over the sea on a catamaran is unforgettable, even without sailing... 😄

Catamaran cruise! - The tour was a lot of fun and the captain made sure we saw some dolphins! Sightseeing was fantastic and great views from the water.

Wow - What an experience, we were lucky enough to see dolphins. Please avoid the big boats, this only allows up to about 18 guests which is perfect. The value for money was amazing. Easily my best experience while in Funchal.

Walk - All very good, except they didn't even provide a few glasses of water. In full August and 3 hours at sea would make sense.

Advertisement makes it much nicer than it is. - This trip was fun, but was hindered by a few things. First of all, it was far too crowded on board, so you couldn't really sit comfortably. In the ad it was mentioned that you would sail with a maximum of 18 people, this was eventually something like 26. The trip also took much shorter than described. The ad says you'll be gone for 3 hours, we ended up only being gone for 2.5 hours. At the point where we were supposed to swim, we had less than 10 minutes to swim. From the pictures it looks like you were going to get some snacks, we didn't see any. All in all, it was a disappointment and still feels a bit like you were fooled by the ad.

Disappointment reservation - Forced to change boats supposedly because of booking overbooking. We ended up in an antique boat with 20 other people instead of the private luxury catamaran ordered. The company lied to us because we crossed the catamaran with only 3 people on board, it's shameful! Fortunately, we were able to see dolphins.

Don't waste you hard earned money!!! - I have read the reviews left on here and unfortunately i have to agree with the disappointed ones. We were taken to the boat with other people and were told to take our shoes off before boarding the boat. No idea why as none of the others asked this. Expecting to be spoilt on our 'luxury' catamaran we were left shocked at the lack of interest from the crew on board. (There were 2 men) I asked for a glass of white wine, not an unusual request and i was told they had red and that was it. It advertises on the leaflet that there was a free drink and snack provided so we took nothing with us but when one of the other guests ask about it the crew member bluntly told him theres no free drink or snacks on the trip. I asked for a packet of crisps and told we don't have any food for sale and the drinks were very limited. Again, no basics let alone luxuries! I spent the 3 hours with no drink or food and sat in one place as i didn't want to move around a wet rocky boat with no shoes.. I did want to use the toilet about half way through the trip but as we had no shoes and only one shared toilet ( We all know mens aim can be effected by a rocking boat) i wasnt willing to go down wet steps into a wet toilet cubicle in bare feet. All in all a very disappointing trip. I have attached 2 photos, one of the Free offer of food and drink on their leaflet and the other of the 'Captain which you can see has absolutely no interest in giving his paying guests a great trip and a lasting memory of Maderia! We did the 3pm - 6 pm trip, also no mention of the free entry into the museum. having seen some of the positive comments i can only assume the crew has changed since.

Rubbish - Unfortunately the crew were more interested in smoking and chatting to each other then focusing on the people paying for the pleasure or non pleasure, No way can be called luxury, very limited drinks, no snacks, no history about the island etc, just a tip pot waiting to be filled at the end, surprisingly no one tipped

Shocking - Weve been in Maderia for 12 days and have loved every minute. We took a dolphin trip last week with a different company VMT and had a lovely trip, plenty of knowledge and insight into the island, helpfull staff, full bar, snacks, coffee, snorkels for snorkeling and the usual things you would expect on a boat trip. So Atlantic Pearl LUXURY catamaran were crap, none of the things VTM offered. VTM even offer a life time guarantee if you don't see a dolphin which we didn't and they gave us and everyone on the boat a freetrip brilliant!!. DONT USE ATLANTIC PEARL save your hard earn't money and spend it with VMT , read there reviews!
