Great half day tour - A half day jeep safari from Funchal with Safari Madeira and Silvio as our driver. In 3 hours you don't get that far from Funchal but it was very good time spent. First a 25 minute stop at a favourite haunt of Winston Churchill. Although you wouldn't know it unless you noticed the Winston Churchill Hotel, the Winston Churchill restaurant, the Winston Churchill bar and the Winston Churchill petrol station. Ok, maybe the last one I made up, but you get the gist! It's a pleasant little fishing village to have stroll around, plenty of bars and restaurants too. After that a steep climb on very narrow roads high up in to the forest to our next stop overlooking the valley of the nuns and the isolated village in said valley. They grow a lot up here, bananas, chestnuts, salad, potatoes, avocados, lemons, limes, sugar cane etc etc. Apparently the Madeirans will make an alcoholic drink out of any fruit they can grow! It's a marvellous view. It's also the start of a fairly short but fun off road section. After bouncing along for a while, we're back on 'normal' roads i.e. very steep and narrow, to a village bar where we sampled the local drink - Poncha. Made from local fruits, such as limes and lemons plus local honey and local rum, it's a potent but tasty drink. Only get it if it's made fresh like it was for us. Finally, back though picturesque villages to the Sky Walk at Cabo Girão. Only €3 allows you to experience excellent views along the coast and the glass floored sky walk. Although the glass floored bit was OK, it was the views that were worth it. It wasn't at all crowded when we went. There's a cafe and shop there too. Overall, a fun 3 hours to spend to see at bit more of Madeira. Our driver Silvio was great, knowledgeable, friendly and a safe driver.

Safari off road trip and bar visit - Great experience were met at the port - go past the cruise tours they were located around bay 2 or 3. Very polite informative team - open top jeeps -fab stop at a bar on-the way recommend both the local drinks nikita and the poncha - excellent - bumpy ride along the off road recommend to stand up if you can! Open tops jeeps win here! Lovely back home at the port prompt and in good time for an afternoon to walk round the town. Thoroughly recommend this 1/2 day trip! Thanksto all the team.

Adventure the whole terrain - My husband and I took part in this adventure and we loved it! We loved the experience by off-road trails, many trails, amazing views and the sympathy and kindness of Mr. Sílvio, our driver/guide. We love and recommend it to those looking for a different adventure.

Great way to see the outskirts of Madeira! - What a wonderful way to see this amazing island. We’ve been here two other times and see something different every time! I love this area. The weather didn’t quite cooperate but we made the best of it. Our guide Gabriel was great!!!

Save your money! - Terrible experience. Old vehicle, bad driver, way too much wasted time traveling as a convoy. Would not recommend.

Not worth the money - Both myself and my wife are restricted to a walker and a cane the jeeps were too small and too high for us to get into, we could not go on the tour the driver told us that the tour money would be refunded our booking #1290834733

Very Misleading and Disappointing Tour - We booked this Jeep tour in Madeira expecting an exciting open-air adventure based on the description and photos, but it was nothing like that. The vehicle may be “open,” but anyone sitting in the front cannot stand up at all, which completely defeats the purpose of the experience and eliminates a key viewpoint. We only went off-road for about 5–7 minutes, and that was the only time we were allowed to stand up. The rest of the time we were just sitting, driving on regular roads. It felt very deceptive and not at all what was advertised. My family was extremely disappointed that they stood for less than 10 minutes total. The only positive I can mention is that our tour guide was friendly and informative, and none of this was his fault. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt misleading and not worth the time or money. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for a more authentic Jeep adventure in Madeira.
