Red line - I made a trip on the red line with the driver Sérgio where he advised us to leave in Camara de Lobos where since I thank you for the indication because I liked the village where we took advantage to try the typical "spetada" and "regional poncha" also advised by the same. I will repeat and advise all my family and friends.

Top everywhere, in Funchal Flop! - We do a tour in every major city. We've never been so disappointed. For most of the ride, it was just terrible music. If information came once (it was scarce), usually time-delayed. Just not recommended in Funchal.

Very poor commentary, but frequent buses - Have used these tours in several cities as a way of gaining some information about the resort & as a method of convenient transport. This is without doubt the worst one I’ve ever encountered, what commentary there was , was of poor quality and out of sync with the area we were in, the only reason I’m not giving one star was the frequency of the buses. If you use this tour, don’t expect to learn much about Madeira.

Have we experienced much better in other cities, staff not friendly, distributed false information - We were told we can travel several days with the ticket. Songs we did not inform ourselves before. Since we were traveling with toddler, we could not use the 2 day and on the 3 day the ticket had expired. Stupid... Halfway through the bus, the bus broke down and there was only information from the bus driver on individual request. Far too little information about this beautiful island via the headphones and in between long breaks or music. Definitely too expensive. The departure times are also incorrect. Man has to bring a lot of time.

Terrible service, avoid this bus - Today my husband and I used the Hop On-Hop Off bus in Funchal in order to visit Camara de Lobos. Although the town has two stopping places the driver ignored them both and made no announcement of either. Being at the top of the bus we had no chance to tell him we wished to get off before finding ourselves on the way back to our starting point against our will. Having paid €25 each for a bus that failed to deliver us to our destination the whole trip was a waste of time and money. We did eventually complain to the driver who added insult to injury by suggesting we’d been asleep. We cannot possibly recommend this service to anybody else.

A disastrous red bus tour in Funchal - We took the Red Bus circuit around Fuchal and Camara de Lobos yesterday. It was really bad. The earphone commentary was completely inaudible as the bus engine was so loud. The driver made absolutely no attempt to speak to the clients, he just raced between pickup points,, giving no indication of what to see or do. We thought that we were going to be able to do wine tasting and visit a shopping centre during the Hop on, Hop off tour. The visit around Funchal was a waste of time and he stopped a distance away from the mountain view point, making absolutely no indicaciones what we could visit, so we stayed on the bus. No mention was made of wine tasting nor shopping. On our arrival at the little sea-port of Camara de Lobos we decided to get off to visit and return to Funchal on a later bus. Once off the bus, my husband realised that he did not have his ruck-sack with him, explained to the driver and rapidly got back on the bus to find his bag. The driver drive off, leaving me on the pavement and my husband on the bus. It took hours for me to relocate him to get back on our cruise ship before sailing time. It was a nightmare! We didn't visit Camara de Lobos , as planned yesterday but are returning to Funchal and will be finding another way to get to the town. We are globe-trotters and this is the worse excursion we have ever taken😪

Scammed - Spent €40 on two tickets, told could use on both red and blue lines. When tried to get on the second line was told this was not valid for both lines and would have to purchase another ticket. Expecting people to pay €40 each is extortionate.
