A weekend with friends - I did three tours over two days in Rio with Paulo, Monique and Andre. Each one was tailored on the day to the weather and what I had already seen / wanted to see. And I really felt like I was experiencing Rio as a local. Each of the guides thought about what I might like based on our conversation and adapted as we went along. Solo travel in Rio - Marco was a great tour guide that spent 3 days with me showing me around the very best highlights of Rio, telling the story of the places, going to good restaurants and cafes and giving me great recommendations.

Amazing Tour of Rio - My co-worker and I spent a day on our weekend going on this tour. It was amazing. Paulo was very informative and helpful. I thought we originally were going to be in a group but it was just us and the guide. I didn’t have long to explore the city and this was the perfect way to hit all the important spots.

The real Rio - We had the most amazing private tour of Rio with Monique. Her passion for the city, its people and its culture is infectious, her intimate knowledge makes the tour so authentically Rio and we managed to skip lines and avoid the big crowds due to her organisation! She also took us to an amazing bar she has been going to for 13 years and the feijoada and caipirinhas were the best in the city. If you want to experience the true Rio you neeeeeeeeed to do it with Monique!! A real highlight of our South America adventure.

City Tour Well Done - Today’s (November 11) Rio de Janeiro city tour was the highlight of our extended trip through these three beautiful and important Latin American countries. Our tour guide Christian showed us breathtaking views and we were able to take postcard-like photos of Rio de Janeiro. Christian enriched our knowledge of the history, culture, architecture, traditions, and modern life in Rio, its people and its events and ceremonies. Christian is a tireless story teller. He presents facts, explanations, and gives examples for better understanding. He does it with great respect to every member of the group. His phenomenal language skills in Portuguese, Spanish, and English allowed him to communicate well with all of us. His clear voice, excellent pronunciation, ability to speak fluently, and quickly switch from one language to another make him an outstanding professional. His informative and educational stories kept our interest during the entire 7-hour tour. Christian is a wonderful organizer. He organized fast pick ups from three hotels and made stress-free rearrangements for the group to everybody’s satisfaction. He has outstanding communication skills, is fully equipped with necessary contact information to reach all the agencies and the right people to handle different situations. It allowed him to help group members use their valuable and limited tourist time in the most efficient manner. Cristian’s soft calming manner, well-paced speech, and willingness to answer questions made the hours fly by quickly and enabled us to enjoy every minute of the tour. The friendly atmosphere Christian created in our group helped us to learn about himself, his hobbies, his passion to cook, and his dreams and desires. We all wish him great success and may all his dreams come true. We owe special thanks to Vital, our driver. Vital was totally dedicated to driving safely. We admired his driving skills on the busy, often narrow streets, navigating between cars, vans, and pedestrians. His van is pristinely clean, comfortably air conditioned, and equipped with a high quality audio system. There was no texting or phone conversations on his part. Observing and reacting in a timely fashion to the road situation allowed us to proceed safely and according to schedule. Vital loves showing tourists his beautiful city. It was very pleasant to spend a day with two very nice men in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro.
