Fantastic Tour of Rio - I found RJ by Cariocas Travel while researching for a trip to Rio on Google. I liked the idea of private tours, and that the prices were reasonable. I reached out to them through WhatsApp and they were responsive and helpful with questions. We did a custom 8-hour tour, which involved a 5 am pick up at the hotel to see the sunrise at Dona Marta viewpoint, first trip up to Christ the Redeemer, Selaron steps, Parque de Ruinas and then Sunday feijoada at one of the best places to get it in Rio (Santa Teresa neighborhood). The tour included our own car (airconditioned, yes!) and a multilingual (he speaks Spanish, French, German in addition to Portuguese and English!) licensed guide. Paulo was a professional and shared lots of knowledge and history, from geography to cultural history to pop culture. It was a great day and glad to have seen the sights with him. We paid about $130 and it was my husband and I on this tour. Highly recommend!!!

A perfect day in Rio 🇧🇷🙏 - I recently used Cariocas Travel for a half day and a full day tour of the city with a good friend. I simply could not rate the experience highly enough. A Day with Cariocas - The tour was well organized, tailored to our interests. We were able to see the aspects of Rio which we otherwise would not have, in such a short time, thanks to Paulo, our guide. He was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and polite. We did feel safe and comfortable. His timing was also perfect; we didn’t miss anything, and moreover, were offered a few extra stops, which we appreciated very much. Trust your guide for off-the-beaten track and you won’t regret it. Some tips: be sure to visit “Museu da Chácara do Céu” and check on “Casa Cavé”, before you decide a stop at Confeitaria Colombo.

Full day Private Rio cruise Tour for 6 - We researched actual local tour providers in Rio and found Cariocas Travel. When we compared to others, this tour company communications were excellent, they provided a comprehensive agenda, and all inclusive approach to avoid surprises. The price was very competitive and the payment process seamless. The tour was excellent. But more importantly Laryssa our guide and Lucas the driver were superb. Their communications, the education, the sight visits and information was really enjoyed by all. Lucas was safe and professional and the coordination between him and Laryssa was exceptional to maximize our time and fill the day. The provided vehicle was both comfortable and not cramped.There was the right amount of flexibility and proper organization to avoid some of the crowds at the usual sights. The total experience from the beginning of our communication together to their delivery was first class.. I am glad we chose this group for our tour and highly recommend them for adventures in Rio.
