Worth the time & money! - Loved it! We wanted a simplified way to get to the takachiho gorge after canceling our Miyazaki leg of the trip. This tour picked us up from Fukuoka Hakata station and brought us back to the same spot so it’s VERY convenient if that’s where you’re staying. Our tour had mostly Chinese speakers on it and Emmy did a great job going from Japanese, to Chinese and then to English for us. Have empathy these tours are catering to diverse groups and learning multiple languages is challenging. Emmy made sure to confirm boat reservation times and warned us if some of the walks were “strenuous.” The furthest distance was about 1000 meters and at most 270 stairs. We had lots of time to take photos. Plenty of rest stops to use the toilet. We got to enjoy Miyazaki mango and beef. The shrines were beautiful. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Value for money - Good itinerary. Our tour guide, Ms Shi Nan was knowledgeable and friendly. I was impressed by her ability to explain in both Chinese and English. The walk among the stone lanterns to the temple was nice and Takachiho gorge was beautiful. We were given sufficient time to walk and take pictures.

Saki for the win! - I wanted to thank Saki for an amazing job with helping the multi-language chaos that was our group. She handled everything excellently and made the tour that much better just by being herself. The scenery was amazing, the locations unique and interesting (a lot of slopes and stairs on the first stop - quite a workout!). I recommend this tour for anyone who loves the mixture of the beauty of the Japanese countryside and the traditions of their past.

Fantastic tour and guide - The tour guide, Thomas was over the top, the tour itself seeing the gorge and shrines was beautiful but more important having a guide who spoke great English was very important and his pronunciation was excellent. Definitely try to get him as your tour guide

Its a carpool and not a tour - I booked the Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine & Amanoiwato Shrine Tour and selected the ENGLISH guide but they provided a Chinese guide so it was a waste of money and time because it felt like I just booked a carpool as I didn't understand anything about the place.
