Highly recommended! - What a great introduction to Fukuoka! I booked Yu for an overview on my first full day of a 6 night visit. We covered more ground and saw more sites than I would have covered in several days on my own. Yu also shared personal experiences and family stories that resonated and connected people across time and space. I can't recommend Yu highly enough. Just book it. Best decision I made to start my visit to this lovely and interesting city.

Exploring Fukuoka cultural history and local gems - We had a wonderful time exploring Fukuoka with Yu Noda! Can't recommend enough as a great way to learn about the local culture and history, while finding some great local spots. Went for an 8 hour tour that absolutely flew by with how much we enjoyed it. If you're interested for a tailored tour to your interests then this is absolutely for you.

Wonderful Tour of Fukuoka! - We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon private tour of Fukuoka with Wander Japan Tours. Our guide Mai was friendly, knowledgeable and a great photographer. Since Mai had lived in the US before, her English was awesome - we had great conversations about famous local sights, food, culture and day to day life in Fukuoka. I had arranged the tour at the last minute the night before. I was really pleased that her tour company was able to accommodate us with such short notice. After meeting at our hotel lobby, we visited a number of great places in Fukuoka - Tocho-Ji Temple, Kushida Shrine and the Japanese garden at Ohori Park. We had time to enjoy a wonderful hot red bean chestnut dessert with tea at the park. We also had time to buy some of Fukuoka’s famous strawberries on our tour. Transportation was by subway and taxi (fare not included in tour price). We left the tour with great memories and a better understanding of Fukuoka than if we had explored the city without a guide. I highly recommend this tour. You’ll love it. And do ask for Mai to be your guide. :)

best tour ever. - Yu was an exceptional tour guide during our visit to Fukuoka, effortlessly blending his deep local knowledge with a personal touch that made us feel like lifelong friends. As a native, he took us to hidden gems only a local would know, giving us a unique perspective of the city that went far beyond typical tourist spots. His insight into Fukuoka’s history and culture was both fascinating and detailed information that would have been impossible to uncover without his intimate connection to the area. With his warm personality and incredible expertise, Yu truly made this one of the best tour experiences we've ever had.

Interesting morning with Yu in Fukuoka - Yu was a delightful tour guide and as a local who has lived overseas and has interests in other tourism and business ventures, is an excellent communicator. We learned a lot and experienced a good cross-section of life & culture in Fukuoka. My only issue is the use of photos without seeking permission from us as paying customers. It was lovely that Yu took photos for us that he provided after the tour and they were predominantly very nice however, a couple that he took were less than flattering & have been used across promotional material on social media without any advice received re this. Therefore, I rated 4 and not 5 stars.
