• Tatamiiwa - This is the designated meeting location. Our company vehicle will transport you to an entrance of the Aokigahara Jukai near Saiko, which is approximately a 30-minute drive.

• Aokigahara Forest - The adventure begins after preparations are complete.

Aokigahara Jukai is renowned as an expansive ancient forest located on the northern side of Mount Fuji. It was established on lava from Mount Fuji in 864 CE. The porous volcanic terrain contributes to an atmosphere of profound tranquility. The early morning and evening are the optimal times to visit, allowing you to run through this distinctive forest while the guide provides insights about the area.

A few kilometers into the journey, we will arrive at the Ryuugu Lava Cave.

• The Dragon Cave - This cave was created by volcanic activity and is revered because the deity associated with it is believed to have the power to summon rain. Visitors can enter the cave and offer prayers to the deity.
• Aokigahara Forest - Following the cave visit, the run will resume. Although this segment may be lengthy, the engaging explanations from the guide will make it feel more manageable.
• Saiko Nenba-hama - This is the final destination. It is celebrated as one of the most picturesque viewpoints of Mount Fuji in the region.

After taking in the stunning scenery, we will return to the meeting point by car, which will take about 30 minutes.

“Running Trip” offers an exceptional way to explore local Japan and has now launched in the Kawaguchiko area. This brief Running Trip takes place in the enchanting Fuji Forest “Aokigahara Jukai” during the early morning and evening, guided by an English-speaking expert. Participants can explore unique attractions like a lava cave and immerse themselves in the pristine atmosphere and stunning nature of the Jukai through the Running Trip. The guide will lead a leisurely 6 km run, providing insightful information en route, with the aim of reaching the finest Mount Fuji viewpoint. Additionally, complimentary rental running shoes are provided, allowing participants to join without needing their own footwear.

• The price covers transportation from Kawaguchiko, rental shoes, a guide, and some refreshments.

• An English-speaking guide with a background in forest science.

• The course spans approximately 6 km, is mostly flat, and includes visits to unique features in the Jukai.

• The tour lasts about 2 hours (with 1 hour dedicated to running).

• There is a limited number of rental shoes available. Please note that we may not be able to provide your preferred size. (Available sizes: 25cm to 30cm, two pairs of each size in 1cm increments.)

• Most of this route is unpaved.
