Day of wonders - Our first stop was The sloth and monkey sanctuary was a great experience each macaw, monkey and sloth had a story. Although you are no longer allowed to handle them feeding them and interacting with them without them being stressed was still such a great treat. The next stop was snorkeling and that did not disappoint. We went to the more challenging waters and it was worth it. The fish and corals were more abundant. There was even a sunken ship. Our driver to each location (Ana) was so kind and accommodating she truly was the icing on the cake of an unforgettable experience.

Great family trip for all levels of experience - I took my two teenage daughters, wife and sister. We had an amazing time with the monkeys, sloths, and parrots to start the trip. It only got better once we got to the water. There we saw parrot fish, queen angel fish, a stone fish, barracuda, lobster, puffer fish, a school of squid, and countless others. My daughters never swam in the open ocean before nor snorkeled. The staff was very attentive to making sure they were having a great time and their nervousness quickly gave way to delight. The adults have all scuba dived before but we saw so much just snorkeling that I wasn't wishing it was a dive. Prices were great compared to other outfits on the island yet no part of the trip felt cheap (other than the price). Quick tip: were long sleeve rash guards when in the waters of Roatan as we've had a few jellyfish encounters.

Snorkeling, monkeys sloths and parrots - Beautiful reefs. Lots of amazing fish. Guides were really helpful and kind. Daughter also loved the sloths and monkeys and parrots.

Best Day of Our Great Vacation - Roatan Ocean Adventures ROA, is family-owned and customer focused. In a great vacation full of blessings, our day at Roatan with ROA was the best part. Leaving our cruise ship, we followed signs for taxis through the port. When we arrived at the small, main road, it was easy to see the folks with the ROA signs. Owner Herbert Woods and his team/family were ready to make our day fun and worry-free. Several ships were in port that day, and the ROA team were well-organized, time-aware, and ready to help each group make the most of the time we had in port. Our delightful guide, Norma, drove us to our selected destinations in a comfortable, well air-conditioned car. We were seamlessly transitioned to specialized guides at each destination, then Norma drove us to the next stop. We were consistently offered refreshment or alternative activities at every step. The Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary was fantastic! New regulations ban holding sloths, for good sloth reasons. We were delighted to find the sloths are not captive. They are not native to Roatan either, but rescues from folks who never should have taken a sloth to the island. In the sanctuary, they hang out in two spots: the big leafy tree they like to eat near the center, or in the jungle patch with bananas and mangos near the back. The monkeys and parrots are also lovely. The snorkeling on Roatan with ROA was great. The guides are attentive and helpful. They were experienced, able to adapt the swim for different skill levels with ease, watchful for unique species, overall terrific. Also, the launch area for the snorkeling boat featured several sleepy cats and a sweet dog. Overall, 11/10. I will book again. Great for most groups. I especially recommend them for folks who want to try an outside tour (non-cruise sponsored) but are nervous. Your only job is finding the taxi area & ROA signs, and letting them know which ship you are on. Easier, less waiting, better activity choices, no worries, I can’t recommend them enough.

Amazing Day with Monkeys, Sloths, and Snorkeling! - Our family of five (two adults and three kids) had a great experience on this excursion. Our driver picked us up right on time at the meeting point, and we headed off to visit the monkeys and sloths. We got to feed the monkeys and take amazing close-up photos with the sloths. It was a fun and unique experience for the whole family! After that, we went snorkeling in crystal-clear water. We explored a sunken boat, swam through coral reefs, and saw tons of colorful fish. This was an unforgettable day full of wildlife encounters and underwater adventure. Highly recommend for families looking for a mix of animal fun and ocean exploration!

AMAZING! - The sloth and monkey portion was great. But the best part of the tour was snorkeling. They were great with the kids (7 and 9 yr old but very experienced snorkelers). The snorkeling was best we've seen and our guide was super knowledgeable. It was the highlight of our whole trip.

Not to be missed - Absolutely spectacular experience from the quality of the activities to the friendliness and competence of the entire team. Keisha did a wonderful job as our driver and host all the way from pick up to drop off. The snorkling was top notch with a guide in the water who showed us amazing sea life while also giving us space to explore on our own.

Wonderful tour! - We had a wonderful day at the sloth/monkey experience and drift snorkeling. Know that you can’t hold sloths anymore but that doesn’t matter. It’s better for their health and you still get up close to take pictures with their adorable faces. You get to feed monkeys and parrots and that’s not even the best part! The snorkeling is wonderful! The reef looks really healthy and we saw beautiful schools of fish. I just wish it went in for another hour. What I appreciated is they have noodles for not so strong snorkelers to use. Not every guide has this and it makes a difference for new snorkelers confidence. Great tour and highly recommended!

Wonderful experience not to be missed - Fabulous experience. Spent time at Daniel Johnson’s monkey & sloth hangout which was wonderful, seeing the sloth’s up close and feeding the monkeys & Macaws is highly recommended. The snorkel drift was brilliant, seeing the different types of fish. All the staff were so kind & helpful, don’t miss this experience I’d you’re going to Roatan
