Awesome city card!! - Awesome card. I ended up seeing soooo many sites in my 48 hours. Having mrt and bus access was a super bonus!

Great value for visitors 16+ years of age visiting Copenhagen - This card is a great value for anyone 16+ years of age if you will be visiting the museums and included attractions. The pass also includes transport for Copenhagen and a large area around it. For kids 15 and younger, they are free at almost all the locations on this pass. It is cheaper just to buy the transit pass for them

Fantastic value - We would highly recommend this card and say it was an essential for Copenhagen (although we were surprised by prices in Copenhagen as we thought eating out etc would be more expensive) We paid £99 for 3 of us for 5 days and it more than paid for itself in the use of the Metro alone. The Metro is amazing, very regular and easy to use to get to all the sights you want to see. It gives you access to most of the main sights, but the only drawback is that you still need to wait in a queue to book a time slot for some of the historic buildings, such as the Palaces/Castles, which is not ideal. We could not see the beautiful marble room in the Royal Palace when we visited as there was to be an event. Be aware you may not get access depending upon family staying as well (but you would see a more impressive Changing of the Guard). Get the card and enjoy all that Copenhagen has to offer.

Mini Guide to Using Copenhagen Card - Can be amazing deal is used to full extent. I calculated entrance fees (according to official websites) and the cost of transit based on my stay in Vesterbro - saved approx 58% based on this itin for one adult on "Discover" option:

5. Saturday Train to airport (needs to be taken before pass expires)
This is not a review of the attractions as there were some I would have switched out in retrospect.
Attractions priced separately are 125DKK on average (Zoo, Christiansborg Place and Home of Carlsberg stand out as costing more). Most one-way transit fares in the city would run 24-30DKK.
Tips:
1) This is ALL DIGITAL pass. You will need the app. To save money, you can get a better price thru a discount travel outlet, or loyal program, else buy at reg price on app. You get a code in your email to make the pass available on the app. Activate the pass only when you are ready to use it (eg. I activated at 10am on the first morning of activities before taking metro). I managed to time it so at the end of the 96hrs I could still take the train to the airport.
2) The pass includes 2 QR codes. One is used when they scan for attractions, the other is for transit when they have the fare inspector.
3) Only one person needs the app. You can add more passes to the app. I had 2 passes on one app. When you need to get the QR code scanned, it's an easy swipe between passes.
4) Prepare a rough itinerary for how you're going to use the pass, including logical pathing between attractions. Also good to include more than you plan to do and which attractions are priorities. Then you can shorten the time spent on stuff you don't end up liking, and lengthen stay at stuff you like.
5) When you arrive at an attraction, look for a Copenhagen Card queue at the ticketing area. Some places will scan your card to issue you a ticket. Some will just scan you at the entrance gate directly.
Pros: Can save a lot of money. Convenient - don't have to pay each time you visit or ride.
Cons: Requires planning to maximize. Digital only - suits people who are already planning to use a device. You might feel pressured to visit more than a couple of attractions each day to make the pass worthwhile.
Verdict:
DIY travellers, pre-planners who love to organize beforehand and pack several things into a day? I would definitely recommend this.
Laid back, don't like to have definite plans? This could work, although you might want to check to see if doing things a la carte would be cheaper.
Don't like museums? Unless you can cram a lot of non-museum activities (like Zoo, canal cruise, Tivoli, Home of Carlsberg) on a Friday (when some stuff is open later), then this is probably not for you.

Copenhagen whirlwind. - Took a bit of time to preload and get card ready before we departed for Copenhagen. Activation easy after arrival. Easy to use for train with so many places to visit with our 5 day pass.

Too Expensive but Useful - Being very expensive should be weighed well if it is worth buying. All the places to which it gives access must be exploited to the maximum and there are many. The same applies to travel. Having it anyway is comfortable.

Not worth it! - We had a disappointing experience on our visit to Copenhagen yesterday using the 24 hour card. Unless you plan on visiting 4-5 attractions you will be out of pocket!
We had planned to use it for Tivoli entrance, The round tower, A canal cruise & The Church of our Saviour. Unfortunately, the round tower is no longer included and so we had to pay (as of April 1st 2024). Tivoli Gardens was closed, on a sunny Saturday in September?! We then got to the Church of our saviour to find there was a 2 hour wait. We were gutted by this as our time in Copenhagen was short. These inconveniences meant we had no time to visit anything else.
I would advise avoiding the card if you only have a day as you can take it as it comes, enjoy a slower pace and potentially save yourself money if attractions are closed. If anything it caused us more stress as we felt we hadn’t got our monies worth.

Terrible costumer service! - The main reason for me to order the card was to visit the “Royal Reception Rooms”. On the website is said the attraction would be open but when I got there it was closed. I tried to contact the customer service to get a partial refund (as I could not see the most important thing I would like to), and they denied. Oh, and every place has a student discount, which they do not show on the Copenhagen Card, making you believe you would pay less if you buy the card. Just pick the places you would like to visit and buy the tickets there, so you do not get frustrated.

Not worth it, it's a money making scam! - Not worth it, it's a money making scam. For the 2 days, if we had bought the Copenhagen card, we (2 people) would have spent an extra 60£ compared to not using it. Instead of buying this card, we paid entry fee to Tivoli and the national museum and got 2 taxis as well (no need for public transport). The total was still 60£ lower than if we had got this over priced card (even after adding costs of taxis). We didn't want the pressure of "we have to enter as many venues as possible to break even", it's better to take your time and enjoy things properly. To break even on the card, you'd have to rush to enter so many venues that it would not be enjoyable. We still visited loads of places on a long walk, but only entered the venues we really wanted (some places like the palace, you can enter the grounds without paying). You save money by paying separately unless you're ok with spending 15 minutes rushing through museums etc. Tivoli alone, we spent 1 whole day (and the Copenhagen card only gives entry, not rides. Better to buy the entry+rides pass direct and do as many rides as you want all day and night).
