• Stazione Roma Termini - Depart from Rome’s Termini Station on the 9:49 am train heading to Frascati. Ensure to be on the train 15 minutes early! Your destination is the historic wine-making town of Frascati.
• Frascati - Upon arrival, proceed to the station exit (it’s a small station, so no worries) where our driver and guide will be waiting with an “Old Frascati” sign.
• Frascati Centro storico - After introductions, embark on a walking tour of Frascati’s shops and botteghe, sampling local specialties such as the famous roasted pork (porchetta), freshly baked biscotti from an antique wood-fired oven, and jug wine from the town’s oldest bakery and tavern. These establishments, centuries old, still follow traditional methods that make their products unique. Save some appetite as the best is yet to come!
• Frascati Centro storico - At the Old Frascati Vineyard (transport provided), a historic family-owned winery producing red and white wines for seven generations, explore the vast grounds, stroll among the hand-tended vines, and visit the “secret” underground chambers where persecuted families found refuge during WWII. Today, these chambers store wine barrels.

Each autumn, the Frascati winery transforms ripe grapes into exquisite wines. After a guided tasting of the winery’s offerings, including Frascati Superiore DOCG white wine, Vagnolo IGP red wine, and Frascati DOC White Wine, enjoy the family’s extra virgin olive oils paired with a selection of delicious breads.

• Frascati Centro storico - After tasting the wines (and purchasing if desired), you will be driven to a carefully selected restaurant in Frascati to enjoy cured meats, Roman cheeses, pasta, oils, breads, and of course… MORE WINE!
• Frascati - After lunch, take another stroll through the charming streets of Frascati before catching the train back to Rome.
• Stazione Roma Termini - It’s time to board the train and return to Rome Termini Station.

Explore the wine storage and ancient Roman caves, thereafter witnessing the perpetual winemaking customs from the past, which have been assimilated into present-day production of much desired DOCG wines (rest assured, you’ll be versed on what these acronyms signify!).

Following a stroll through the grapevine range, unwind while absorbing the memorable panorama of the undulating terrain with Rome as the backdrop, as you partake in a three-wine guided tasting; Frascati Superiore, Red Vagnolo, and Sweet Cannellino.

Upon sadly departing the vineyard, make your way back to the historic Frascati for an ambulatory tour of neighborhood shops and botteghe. There, you’ll savor renowned local delights such as roast pork (porchetta), focaccia, biscotti — freshly baked in a vintage wood-fired oven — and decanter wine. After your repast, the train station is conveniently located a short distance away for your journey back to Rome.
