Explore the wine storage and ancient Roman caves, thereafter witnessing the perpetual winemaking customs from the past, which have been assimilated into present-day production of much desired DOCG wines (rest assured, you’ll be versed on what these acronyms signify!).

Following a stroll through the grapevine range, unwind while absorbing the memorable panorama of the undulating terrain with Rome as the backdrop, as you partake in a three-wine guided tasting; Frascati Superiore, Red Vagnolo, and Sweet Cannellino.

Upon sadly departing the vineyard, make your way back to the historic Frascati for an ambulatory tour of neighborhood shops and botteghe. There, you’ll savor renowned local delights such as roast pork (porchetta), focaccia, biscotti — freshly baked in a vintage wood-fired oven — and decanter wine. After your repast, the train station is conveniently located a short distance away for your journey back to Rome.

The guides make the tour feel like home away from home! - The food and wine were spectacular! It was lovely to hear about the history and care that goes into producing the wine. Also, it was so easy to chat with other people who were on the tour. Our guide made us all feel at home. The only aspect I wanted more of was a tour of Frascati! I have been to the town in the past, and I wanted a refresher on their history. However, the tour of the town was shorter than I expected. Overall, this was an awesome experience and I am so glad I attended!

Frascati wine - Wonderful day spent in a lovely area. The wine tour included discussion about grapes, grape vines and olives. There was also a tour of Frascati. The guides were good. It was a hot day so it was rather refreshing to go into the underground winery. Wines were good as was the lunch. Would do it again. Great view from the winery of Rome.

Perfect way to escape Rome to the countryside - We loved every minute of this tour and it ended up being in our top three favorite things we did on our entire Mediterranean trip to Italy, Greece and Turkey. The people spoke with such passion, Simone was a great and very knowledgeable guide (we learned a ton) and the wine was perfect. We were looking to get out of the busyness of Rome and this was the perfect choice. Book it - you won't regret it.

Nice introduction to Frascati wine region - Our host at the vineyard was very informative and friendly. She made us feel welcome and the wine was excellent. We also appreciated the short tour of the town of Frascati and the lunch was very good. It was nice to get out of the city for a day and enjoy the views from the hills. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful day in Frascati learning about wine and local history - We had an amazing experience during our tour in Frascati that exceeded expectations. We learned about the local grapes and history of the area, got a tour of the vineyard, and tasted delicious wines. Afterwards, we were taken back into the town of Frascati and given a walking tour of the town before going to the restaurant for lunch. Lunch was delicious with meats and cheeses, pasta, and wine. Definitely would recommend this as a day trip out of Rome!

Recommend day out - A great day out. Easy to get to via train, the vineyard is amazing (say hello to the dog), followed by a quick village tour and lunch. A nice break from the city.

Shearings - Waste of time and money doing the tour - do it alone - Shearings Tour of Frascati and a taste of. Again trapped on the coach for hours. This included a stop at the Pope’s summer residence, Castel Gondolfo, which is now a museum. We were given an hour and told we would not be able to access the museum. This was not true, cost €12. However it was a rush, rush. We thought we would be given a tour of Frascati, but instead we were taken to a back street tavern, and given a scrap of porchetta (roast pork) and 2 slices of cheese (don’t know what cheese), and a glass of wine. Then an opera singer started to sing, nice lady but could not reach the high notes, however it was fun, and everyone got involved – because we were all nice good people. When that was over, we all disbursed, looked for somewhere to lunch (street food) and sat for 1 hour in ice cream bar before getting on the coach again. I would say that this was a waste of money and not a true tour of Frascati or even a taste of the local dishes or produce.
