Tandem skydiving offers the quickest, simplest, and safest method for novice skydivers to experience the exhilaration of leaping from an aircraft, free-falling at speeds of 200kph/120mph, and gently descending to the earth with a parachute. Participants can fully embrace the excitement, assured that their tandem instructor is expertly managing the entire process.

Plunge into an exhilarating skydiving experience amidst a scenic backdrop of mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and vistas of the ocean. Skydive Franz takes you right next to New Zealand’s loftiest peak, Aoraki/Mount Cook, and its vast glaciers, Fox and Franz Josef, with the panoramic expanse of the blue ocean on your left. We offer numerous jump times. Consider a 3-hour window for your tandem skydive adventure.
- Please wear warm lightweight clothes and secure shoes (preferably with laces)
- This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- Subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
- Persons weighing between 100-115kg may be able to jump, subject to assessment by a tandem master and a harness fitting on the day. All persons weighing 100kg or over subject to a small surcharge, which varies based on weight. The minimum weight requirement is 35kg, and all passengers must be large enough to fit safely into the harness. The ability for a child to jump is determined by their, weight, size and how the harness fits. The minimum weight is 35kg and . All passengers must fit securely into the harness.All children are subject to an assessment on the day by the Tandem Master.

Awesome 16,500 skydive at 69 yes old - I would probably recommend a jump from lower elevation (13,000) as an older person. It was thrilling and I highly recommend this company. Peter my tandem guide was excellent.

Unforgettable experience - It was absolutely brilliant. Iv never done one before so I was extremely nervous, but the team and whole experience was just unforgettable.
I was paired up with shaggy and he was brilliant can’t thank him enough. If your thinking of doing it Do IT !

16,500 feet blissful jump - It was worth the wait! I got initially booked on a cloudy morning day and got rebooked on the next day in the afternoon, and I am so happy the weather cleared up and I could see mount Cool even! Despite some miscommunications was very professional and I had a great time jumping from 16,500 feet. Would do it again!

The best way to see Franz! - What an absolutely amazing experience!! The two ladies working at Skydive Franz are absolutely lovely and were excited as we were. Unfortunately after going up in the plane in the morning we had to land as cloud came rolling in, so we were rescheduled for in the afternoon. Although it was pretty nerve wracking it actually made me feel calmer for the afternoon and the team were all so nice and encouraging about it. Put it this way - we had a little scenic flight too!
The actual skydive was just incredible, it was my first time and I felt so safe and can’t wait to do more skydives in the future now.
If you can stretch your budget I’d highly recommend having the full video package, having footage and pictures of me skydiving in front of the insane backdrop is so special, as skydives are over so quickly it’s nice to have something to show others and to watch back and remember.

Life at its Best -Skydive Franz - Sooooo glad I went with Franz for my first skydive adventure! The views and pictures I received were PHENOMENAL!!!! I LOVED my tandem instructor Robbie. I felt safe and secure the whole time with him at my back. Thank you SkydiveFranz for an amazing first but not last skydive adventure. 💙💙💙

Amazing experience - They put you at ease. My tandem guide was Riley he was super professional and reassuring. The set up and check in was straight forward.
The video was really good quality and awesome to see riley doing a backflip and spin when we left the plane. Made for some great photos

The NICEST guys around - Disclaimer: We couldn't do the skydive due to crappy weather BUT... Am specifically writing this comment to commend the team at Sky Dive FJ. We had been in Franz Joseph and Fox for a couple of days. Despite our Skydive getting cancelled due to bad weather, the team constantly helped us every step of the way to get a dive in. We must have bugged them over and over again and still they tried their level best to help us do other activities yet keep us in front of the line and informed about our potential dive. Given that this jump is likely to guarantee stunning views and has the nicest team we have come across, this is a must do for anyone for the entire experience. Shouts to both Lilly and Sandy who went out of their way to help us and take back tremendous goodwill despite not getting to jump. Thanks guys.

Best experience ever - After three days of waiting (because of bad weather) we finally got to jump. It was for me and my girlfriend our first time. We wanted to jump from 20 000 ft but it was to cold up there (-32° brrrr) so we could 'only' jump from 16 500. The staff was really helpful and professional. We loved it. Both nervous but after jumping out of the plane, all the stress disappeared. We took the video and photo option. And it is really worth the money. Thanks again.
