The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard impress with their ruins and construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view over the city from its huge terrace. Here you are looking at one of the largest wine barrels in the world.\n- Heidelberg - After visiting the castle we walk through the medieval center to the old bridge and the Karlstor, the Renaissance house to the knight, the Heiliggeistkirche.\nWe drive about 1 hour back to the meeting point.

After the castle visit we will give you some private time and you can walk through the medieval center and visit the Renaissance Haus zum Ritter and the Heiliggeistkirche.

Beautiful and abundance of history - The castle was absolutely beautiful amazing view. Full of rich history, and this historic image can only be supplemented by the tour guide Michael. It was almost exclusively like a private tour so it was definitely worth my money.

Viator tour of castle from Frankfurt - Used a Viator tour to reach the castle from Frankfurt. About an hour drive both ways in a 10 person upscale van. Thomas the guide was very knowledgeable and spoke about the history of the region as well as the castle itself. He took us through the castle and local plaza at a comfortable pace with time for pictures and breaks. The last hour we were on our own for refreshments or whatever we wanted . Highly recommend this method of visiting the castle.
