Short adventure to TN, brought us home through Frankfort, Ky - We missed our tour due to time difference (my mistake) but enjoyed stopping at the store and talking with staff. Learned a lot by just conversation and from the history flyer they shared with us. We also got to sample the famous bourbon ball candy-very good and bought some for home. They have other candy’s they make too. I think it’s pretty neat that only a select few know the recipes and the 4th generation comes into the shop and make recipes, as they are that secret. Definitely worth stopping and also exploring Frankfort the capital of Kentucky-there is several sites of history there. The town was quiet when we visited, the people are very nice. We stopped at Hoggys ice cream for a quick treat also. Very nice place and kind staff.

Great story. Amazing history. Delicious balls. - I stopped in Frankfort on my way across Kentucky and toured the Rebecca Ruth Museum. The tour is very brief, only 30 minutes or so (which includes an 8-minute video), but for the price (only $10) that seemed totally fair. My guide answered all my questions and was very friendly. The actual kitchen at the museum is a surprisingly small operation, considering they make millions of candies per year. It's all very impressive. Ruth's story is definitely worth experiencing.

Perfect 30 minute tour - Very fun, informative tour of this important and historic candy shop. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The behind the scenes look at the kitchen and production line was amazing. Great atmosphere and museum/gift shop to load up on all of the bourbon balls you could ever want.

History Meets Modern - If you are wanting a first hand look at where history meets modern production, then this is the place for you. The tour takes approximately 30 minutes and ends with chocolate, so it is a great stop!

Don’t bother - This was probably the worst tour I’ve ever paid for. When asked where they get their chocolate from the tour guide said they made it there. It was just a waste of 30 minutes and $10 in my opinion.
