Great experience - Driver was nice, car had air conditioner, even umbrellas for rainy weather. We skipped levanders just becouse it was off-season, but had more time for paddlebike in lake! Suggestion to take closer paddlebike rent place to the brige, for longer exploration of canyon. Nevertheless, everything was perfect!

Relaxing fun and effervescent - Mario made an extraordinary day taking us throughout the countryside stopping in quaint villages on the way to Moustier Saint Michel Gorge du Verdon and the Lake to freshen and cool down in the cool turquoise blue waters. The pizza 🍕 was delicious the views spectacular and Mario was sincerely a pleasure to spend the day with touring like this. Effervescent and joyous made for a happy group. I highly recommend this tour. Even in the heat of August, the van was very cool excellent air conditioning and a new VW van clean. He drove very well and the entire group got along nicely and we all enjoyed each other and the various stops along the way. This is a perfect trip for solo or with a small group or a couple and takes the stress out of having to drive far into the country leaving it to the professional. The entire company had a very accurate and clear communication throughout for the pick up and I felt at ease. It is a great way to see a lot of different parts of the countryside giving a taste to go back another time,

Beautiful but a lot of time in van - It’s a very long ride (500 kilometers of mostly mountainous driving) with quick stops along the route. The villages were cute and restaurants good. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed an hour long swim. The driver/tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful, but time kind of wasted - The two towns and the gorges were beautiful, but we only had 30 minutes each at the towns then an hour and a half at the gorges. The entire rest of the day was in the car. I would have rather one town and the gorges for longer. Or, it should’ve been more clear how much time was in the car in the tour description.

Too Much Driving & Not Enough Seeing - Each of the destinations on the itinerary for this tour is worth visiting. The problem is that each is so far from the next that we spent at least 6 1/2 of the total of 9 hours driving. For $150, I expected much more in the way of exploring and visiting. Plus, our guide offered little information and was not sufficiently fluent in English. If you want to see this part of France, rent a car and spend a few days exploring yourself.

Beautiful Scenery, Poorly Guided - The lake is absolutely beautiful as well as the scenery when driving through the mountains. The reason my rating is so low is because we received no commentary during the long drive or at any of the villages. We were basically dropped off and told to look around and at one village to buy lunch. No recommendations were given as to where to purchase food, and nothing was shared on the historical significance of the area. When we arrived at the lake, we had an hour and 15 minutes to enjoy the lake. That was not enough time to rent a paddle boat or canoe due to the long lines. We enjoyed swimming, but we really wanted to rent a paddle boat, and that was not an option. Basically we spent 10 hours for an hour the 15 min at the lake. The tour would be much more enjoyable if guides provided commentary along the drive, led the group on a short tour of each village, had an arranged spot for lunch in which a restaurant had food prepared in advance for a quick meal, and allowed the option to pre rent boats and canoes to be enjoyed at the lake. The most positive aspect for us is that the van was air conditioned. It was extremely hot, and we were grateful for a strong a/c unit to keep us comfortable while riding.

If you read one review this is the one - We were in a car for 10 hours in total out of that only 2.5 hrs were spent outside. Most of the road was zigzag and our driver was driving wayyy too fast. The castellani you did not visit it only the bottom were the was shop and at gorge the verdon they leave you at the beach and all the boats were out for the day. If you are like me and got interested by the Gorge de verdon and you want to go down the canal this is not the tour for you. Honestly definitely not worth the money or the wasted day

Reckless Driving and No Commentary! - The views were amazing. However our guide, Gouda, did not provide any commentary. He drove 20 miles over the limit on the highway, and WAY TOO FAST on steep mountain roads. One of the passengers who had recently been involved in a life threatening car accident was terrified - and triggered - by the driving. I believe the experience would have been greatly enhanced by someone explaining where we were and what we were seeing!
