Food tour - John’s food tour is a must do for any foodie in La Rochelle. We enjoyed oysters and seafood, charcuterie, cheese, cognac, wine and sweet treats, John guiding us through the market and to lots of hidden gems around the town. Highly recommend

Rain or shine , a guided tour of La Rochelle by John McG is a sure bet. - John Mc G was an excellent guide. Interesting, enthusiastic and interactive, we could not have asked for better.
My wife, Mary, and myself had the pleasure of a history and food tour with John and we really feel our money was well spent.
Whether it be different perspectives on city’s past, wines, pineaux, cognacs, viennoiseries, restaurants, this guy knows his stuff.
We checked out one of his stops, Les Saveurs de L’R with two of our tour mates tonight and it was divine.
Parole d’honneur, this guy will not disappoint you !

A must for all lovers of food and drink - John is friendly and personable. He is passionate about La Rochelle and the local food and drink. It was a fantastic lunch experience spread over 3.5 hours and many locations. Seafood, charcuterie, cheeses, entrèes, pastries, aperitifs, wines and spirits. We met the creators and vendors of these treats, who were all delightful without exception. May seem a bit expensive, but really isn't considering what you get. Highly recommended

Food tour - Went on the food tour today with John, it was excellent. A highlight of our trip to La Rochelle. Got to sample local cuisine and go off the beaten track. John was a great guide and got to taste everything from oysters to cheese and the Paris-Brest. Really enjoyed this tour and overall experience with the group.

Food tour - Excellent food tour with John. The experience was a perfect blend of flavor, culture, and storytelling. Lots of wine and cheese ! The oysters at the market were also delicious.

Food tour a must do!!! - What a fabulous tour, the food was amazing- oysters, langoustines, cheese, meats , baguette and wine while sitting out in the sunshine.
John was a great guide very helpful and enthusiastic, really made sure we all enjoyed ourselves.
Loved all the stops great to get the history and local knowledge of La Rochelle along the way.

Loved, loved, loved!!! - This was such an awesome experience! John was a great guide and we throughly enjoyed being immersed in to the town via tne food. Somewhere we definitely plan to revisit!!!

Foodies delight - John is an amazing guide, so knowledgeable, the trip includes hidden gems to sample great food and wine. We took the tour on our last day but recommend to do it early, as many places to revisit.
