• 10 Rue de l’Abbaye d’Ainay - Following two years of partnership with a Lyon cheese dairy, a new tasting room is set to open in the city center. The venue is currently undergoing renovations — the photos are temporary — with the first tastings scheduled for September. Here’s what to look forward to:

Experience 12 wines during a lunch or dinner tasting in Lyon. The focus is on blind tasting, comparing wines in a serene, naturally lit environment, and most importantly — savoring the experience. This is a chance to explore and refine personal preferences across grape varieties, styles, and vintages. Wines from the 1960s to the present day will be featured.

This new venue combines all the elements believed to be essential for creating an emotional connection through wine. Tastings are presented in Zalto stemware and follow a 4-stage format:

– 3 sparkling wines
– 3 white wines
– 3 red wines
– 3 special wines

Each wine is paired with a seasonal accompaniment — cheeses, charcuterie, smoked duck, truffle, or fresh desserts — simple, high-quality products from regional artisans, substantial enough to serve as a full lunch or dinner.

The wines offered are selected during regular travels through France’s wine regions, and the tasting is conducted by members of a Lyon-based wine club.

This venue was designed to offer the perfect setting for wine tasting, featuring natural light, a neutral aroma, and a serene, sophisticated ambiance.

The experience enables guests to explore and enhance their palate by sampling 12 French wines, each accompanied by a carefully selected food pairing. These are not merely small bites, but a collection of seasonal dishes that together create a genuine culinary journey.

Guests are seated at a communal table in an intimate environment with no more than ten participants. They are guided by members of a Lyon wine tasting club, who are both passionate and knowledgeable, sharing their expertise with warmth and enthusiasm.
