A must see in Foynes - A hidden gem in county Limerick. Received a very warm welcome. The displays are well presented, interesting and informative. The stories are engaging and some are incredible. We had to leave after 2 1/2 hours as we had lunch booked, otherwise would have stayed longer.

Well worth a visit. - Explore the history of the Flying Boat Service from Foynes on an excellent tour of the museum. We visited the museum early moring and it was quiet, so we had a lot tof time to talk to the recepton staff who were excellent - friendly and welcoming and so full of knowledge. We spent a couple of very enjoyable hours in the museum wwhich also includes a collection doneated by Maureen O Hara's family. You get the oopportunity to inspect a replica of one of the flying boats and can even try to fly one of them on the simulators. This is an ideal place for families to visit - dont miss it if you are in the area.

An Excellent Experience - I have always wanted to visit this museum and was lucky to finally visit it. It is such an interesting and very well laid out museum. The interactive aspects are excellent. I loved being able to go inside the plane and really enjoyed it. The Maureen O Hara exhibition is fabulous. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Thanks so much for a wonderful visit.

Fantastic experience ✨ - I had the pleasure of bringing my elderly parents to visit Foynes Flying Boat Museum last week, and I have to say the experience was fantastic. From the lady at the front desk, the film on the history of the flying boats, Maureen O' Hara's exhibition and of course lunch, the whole visit was wonderful. Many thanks to you all, I would definitely recommend this Museum ❤️

Excellent guided tour - Our group of 8 people were able to book a guided tour of this museum (typically a minimum group size of 10) by agreeing to purchase 2 additional tickets. There is a self-guided option, but we agreed that having a guide was money well spent since our guide (Natalie) was able to share lots of information without us having to read each and every exhibit sign. The museum is well laid out and informative about an airport, airplane and history that most people never hear about. There was lots to love about the museum, but my favorites were walking through the full-size replica of the Boeing flying boat and learning the history and making of the famous Irish coffee.

What a nice surprise - Somehow we stumbled upon this on a map or something, so we detoured to Foynes. The museum, which apparently has been here since 1989, was totally redone and expanded in 2023. What a delight. Super friendly attendants, quick movie about flying boats, lots of information easily displayed, including activity during ww2. Turns out Foynes was a very busy water airport Lots of stuff about actress Maureen O'Hara (I won't tell you why). You can also walk in a Boeing 314 flying boat and see what it was like. Very cool. You can (and I did) have the original Irish Coffee...it was created here (really, and they will tell you the story). The Irish coffee was outstanding

Foynes Flying Boat Museum: Totally worth a visit - I love aviation history and this museum definitely met and exceeded my expectations, and my whole family enjoyed our visit. The unexpected connection to Hollywood enhanced the experience, especially for my wife. The introduction video was excellent and the exhibits were comprehensive, detailed and nicely presented and composed. The replica of the Boeing 314 was great as was the interactive 'flying' experience. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful.
