- La Savane Park - Our circuit begins on the Sea Front, near the Kiosque Guédon. This kiosk is a meeting point and a place of events known to all the inhabitants of Fort-de-France. Its name comes from a famous Martinican artist, musician and visual artist… The Malecon, as the Foyalais affectionately call their seafront, is a superb promenade where Martiniquans and Martiniqauaises of all ages like to meet, stroll, and indulge in all kinds of activities, day and night: swimming, nautical activities or simply lazing around. - Vedettes Tropicales (Embarquement Fort de France) - La Baie Flamands has been ranked among the most beautiful bays in the world by the World Trade Market. Formerly called “Gardens of the King”, the park was used for military gatherings: the armies of Napoleon Bonaparte leaving for the Mexican wars were stationed there. - Court of Appeal - Here you will see another famous figure, Victor Schoelcher - His statue sat enthroned in the gardens of the former Palais de Justice, in the heart of the city. - Schoelcher Library - Victor Schoelcher is also a man of letters, known for his patronage work. On his death he bequeathed to the city of Fort-de-France a personal collection made up of more than 9,000 works… The library of the capital city now bears his name - St. Louis Cathedral - The cathedral bears the name of a king of France: St Louis. It was burnt down by the Dutch in 1674, destroyed by an earthquake in 1839, destroyed again by a fire in 1890 - Espace Museal Aime Cesaire - This is the old town hall of the city, transformed into a space of memory and testimony.
