Glen Blair Bar a hidden gem! - This is a hidden gem located a short distance into the redwoods only accessed by train. The Glen Blair Bar location has a great outdoorsy unique bar atmosphere, and friendly enough to bring the entire family. I am a local and have been on this excursion more than once and will definitely ride again. It’s a great place to go with friends or family. You will find fire pits ( to keep you warm or to toast s’mores and yes, they do sell the s’more kits on site!), corn hole and other outdoor games. There is also live music to put you in that dancing mood. The train does have a small bar where you can buy limited choice drinks (the train and Glen Blair Bar pretty much don’t serve the same brand of drinks). The Glen Blair Bar does have a full bar. You can bring food on the ride, but no alcohol. Another plus is it’s dog-friendly although space may be limited and there is a small fee. Don’t forget to bring layers, Fort Bragg’s weather can be unpredictable sometimes and you could get a little chilly if you choose to ride the open car. The Glen Blair Bar is an open, awesome looking timber covered patio area with patio heaters. So grab your friends and family and give it a try! You don’t find bars like this everyday! Enjoy!🍻😊

Birthday Wish List - Glen Blair Bar - This has been on my bucket list for a while now and I'm so glad that my family & I were able to experience it. It's everything that I had hoped for & some...the ride thru the redwoods was so beautiful & peaceful, there was a concession stand on the train which provided sandwiches, snacks, beverages & alcohol as well. When we arrived to the bar we were blown away by the ambiance and the breath taking scenery! There were plenty of seats/tables as well as several LARGE firepits which came in handy once the sun went down. We ordered cocktails but just a side note, the bar is limited with a few name brand liquors such as Hendricks & Four Roses as well as the "top shelf" Menocino Distillery Gin & Whiskey...we were not disappointed as we are fans of both. We'd recommend this excursion to singles, couples, families with kids or pets!

Worth it! Would do again! - Worth it! Fun train ride, we took the 6:30 pm departure and the ride is like 29/30mij I think. We went early so we could spend extra time at the watering hole which is a cute barn frame with Xmas lights and heaters set up. Has seating set up and a few games like jenga and local musician singing/guitar. It’s really just a place to kick back and relax to have a drink. Pet friendly and all the dogs were leashed and friendly. There’s also a small hike you can do around the corner. We drove here from Santa Rosa (2hrs) and drove home that night but next time think we’ll try the bike rail (which looked super fun) and spend the night in Ft Bragg to explore more. I heard one family comes up at Xmas and brings their gifts to do a gift exchange which was a great idea! Layer up so you can accommodate for changing temperatures and just be ready for possible mosquitoes!

So fun! - So fun! We went on a Saturday evening with friends to enjoy the train ride and listen to the live music at the pavilion. They have several large fire pits with Adirondack chairs. Also picnic tables in the pavilion and heaters. You can bring snacks and non alcoholic drinks with you, but you can buy a drink at the bar. Dress in layers, it can get cold.

Great - A group of us ladies took the trip to Glen Blair Bar. It was a beautiful trip and the bar is nothing short of amazing. Side note..fast forward 3 months and 3 of us ladies received alerts from our bank that are cards were being used for purchases on the train. Well, we’re 3:5 hours away and not there. Total bummer!!

A fun night out with friends - I love fun, adult activities that I can bring my dog! I wish the train ride had been longer to justify the expense, but it was a fun outing with friends! There were zero children the night we were there. I can see how somebody’s experience could be ruined by unruly kids. The music was provided by a single guy on a guitar (I was hoping for a band,) but he was very good! They don’t allow you to bring your own alcohol, but you can bring your own food. They have great bonfires going, so don’t forget the s’mores!
