The journey begins once everyone gathers in front of the local coffee shop, Café Da Praça. From there, the tour will commence around the historic center, uncovering the secrets of its most significant monuments and buildings.
As the group strolls, discussions will cover the indigenous groups that once inhabited the Island of Santa Catarina, and the journey will traverse through the 17th century, a period marked by the arrival of Portuguese colonizers and African enslaved people.
After discovering the founders of the “Magic Island,” the tour will proceed to the Cruz e Sousa Palace and the November 15th Square.
Following this, the exploration will include key landmarks significant to the black community in Florianopolis. Additionally, the tour will pass by the Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre, renowned as one of the city’s most beautiful monuments.
The experience will conclude with a brief tour and a delightful surprise at the Public Market.
