It was among the first modern museums of its era and continues to be one of the most significant art museums globally, as well as a leading tourist attraction in Florence and Italy.
The museum boasts a rich collection of invaluable artworks from the Medici family, primarily from the Italian Renaissance period. Visitors can admire masterpieces by renowned artists, including Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and “Primavera,” Michelangelo’s “The Holy Family,” Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Annunciation” and “Adoration of the Magi,” Raphael’s “Madonna of the Goldfinch” and “Portrait of Leo X,” Caravaggio’s “Bacchus,” “Sacrifice of Isaac,” and “Medusa,” as well as Rembrandt’s “Self-portrait as a Young Man,” “Self-portrait as an Old Man,” and “Portrait of an Old Man.”
