The Duomo awakens - Seeing the doors of Duomo opened by an old key was fun. The guide, Alla, was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Highly recommend her.

Great way to see the dome up close and get a great overview of Florence - We went on the 6 pm tour which included a terrace walk. This was a great way to climb up as we had a break at the terrace which provided a great overlook of the city and the sculpture of Brunelleschi looking down on his masterpiece. We had a second stop on the way up in a room where they stored some statues previously on the outside of the dome. Our guide was focused on making sure everyone was comfortable. The stops made the climb very accessible and not too tiring. We were done with the climb in good time to find a place to eat an "early" dinner at 7:30 or so. Highly recommend this as a way to see both the inside and outside of the dome and Florence!

Awakening the Duomo - Awakening the Duomo was the best experience! Going that early in the morning was the best decision. Cool weather and no crowds. We were at the top of the Duomo by ourselves and were able to enjoy the amazing views without a huge crowd.

Climbing the dome is worth it - The views from the top of the Duomo are as cool as you can imagine. The Duomo itself isn't the most impressive from the inside (by Italian cathedral standards) but this tour is mostly about the climb up the dome, and it's worth it.

Great tour - Loved the tour climb. Very knowledgeable guide. Disappointed that the attire requirements that were prominently noted at booking were not enforced at the cathedral.

Know what you're getting yourself into - I needed a bit more description about this tour before booking. I thought I had booked a skip the line to go into the cathedral tour, but really I booked a skip the line to take all the steps to the top tour. I was not the only one on the tour that made this mistake, so it can't just be me. Also, our guide was a little snippy and rushed.

Not a great tour. - Our guide literally stood in one place for an hour talking. It was a huge waste of time. We should have been walking and discussing what we saw; this was just terrible. We did not really skip the line either as we first had to wait for 30 mns in line.
